Kaare Andrews.
Kaare has an obviously stylish take on all of the work he does. what impresses me the most though is how effortless he makes the transitions between styles look. all of his covers look unmistakably like his work… but the styles and the techniques are wonderfully varied. he is one of my favorite modern artists.
1988's Wolverine Vol.2 #2 cover by John Buscema & Klaus Janson.
some more sketches by John Buscema.
this is a rare cover, in my experience. last time I saw one was at a convention, and they were asking north of a $150.00 bucks for it. Ungraded. And it was the only copy I have ever seen in person. the drawing at the top was a partial recreation that Bill did as a sketch for a fan. I put it up at the top for the sake of continuity. I have never seen the unlettered artwork for this cover, and it took me a while to hunt down a good scan of the back of it. if you are canucklehead fan like me, this is the variant you want to find.
