Excalibur: Six Drawings by Barry Windsor-Smith, Second Edition.

these are photos of my copy of this portfolio, which I purchased from an online retailer a while back. I have had this for a while, and I finally got around to asking Barry to sign them for me. I mailed them to his Studio’s P.O. Box address, along with a very nice letter and a self addressed and stamped return envelope. I only interacted via email with one of his Studio Assistants, but the whole thing was quite a pleasant experience. And, hey, at the end of the day: I have a signed portfolio by Barry Windsor-Smith!

if you own or want to own any of his books or prints, you can check out his website for more information. he has some art prints for sale as well.

Speaking of having stuff framed:

My lady gave me a very nice Father’s Day gift.

Barry Windsor Smith, prints from the Gorblimey Press, circa 1978

-King Arthur Pendragon. The lord of Camelot, wielder of Excalibur, and Patriarch of British Empirism. -Sir Galahad, the Perfect Knight (Illegitimate son of Sir Launcelot, and most probably a Jesus Allegory from Arthurian Legends) -Sir Launcelot du Lake, son of King Ban of Benwick, Knight of the Round Table, and the greatest Swordsman of the Arthurian Tales.

Just reading the description made me want to go read a book. :D

I would therefore recommend “the Boy’s King Arthur”, and “the Once and Future King”.
