The figure of Clea in Panel 3 was a color hold effect. The original art for the figure is included, and it was created in exactly the same way on a separate sheet of Bristol board. It was then shot and turned into an acetate overlay,

Michael Golden only did a few issues of Doctor Strange (he is very, very slow at producing interior work.) But the issues he did produce are solid gold.

the first printing was a hardcover, and the artwork was painted in watercolors by Mike Mignola. the second printing was a softcover, and the new artwork was Colored by Mark Badger - Mike did the Pencils and Inks himself. the softcover was reprinted more recently, and it was ReColored by Thomas Mason.

this was embossed on the black-leather bound Hardcover version. If you take off the dust jacket of the hardcover, it is a black leather bound hardcover with just this on the cover. this is Mike Mignola’s take on the royal seal of Doctor Doom. friggin’ awesome, right?
