Yeah….. I’d love to know what the poster meant by that… Because to me Quentin seems pretty complex to me + he’s still growing as a character.. I sometimes forget how young he, Idie and the others are.
If I am interpreting him right, he is saying that Morrison made a 1 dimensional character, and that it was easy for Aaron to build when actual substance is added.
I am not sure though.
Morrison did a good job of it. And he was far from One Dimensional. Quentin went nuts and started the riot because of the drug "Kick" (John Sublime), and he also found out he was adopted. He was really into one of the Stepford Cuckoos and then they uniformly rejected him. A lot of bad crap happened all at once in his life. And a lot of it was his fault. On top of all that, he has been shown to really be an Omega Level telepath. Imagine THAT being your 15th birthday. Jason Aaron has done a remarkable job of not only showing progression in Quentin as a character and a guy, but he has managed to make him Wolverine’s new counterpart, and thereby force both characters to grow.
Morrison did NOT create a one dimensional character with Quentin Quire.
