the cover artwork for Wolverine: the Jungle Adventure, Vol. 1 # 01 was fully illustrated by Mike Mignola.

the interiors were illustrated by Mike Mignola, with inks by Bob Wiacek, colors by Mark Chiarello, and letters by Ken Bruzenak. Walt Simonson wrote this one-shot prestige format book, Bob Harras edited it, and it was published in 1990 by Marvel Comics.

Wolverine and Cable pinups, illustrated by Mike Mignola and colored by Mark Chiarello.

-from the top, the first pinup, “a Wolverine Gallery Deluxe Edition”, was published as a centerfold in Wolverine, Vol. 2 # 41. It was later republished as “Wolverine Poster # 38a”.

-The Second Version was exactly that: Mike taking another stab* at the same piece. He flipped it vertically, and it was published as Marvel Press Poster # 111.

*“Stab” because Wolverine has claws. It’s clever.*

Hellboy: Seed of Deatruction* # 02, by Mike Mignola. *This four issue series was the first miniseries Mike Mignola released with Hellboy as the main character, and it subsequently became the basis for the story from the first movie, as directed by Guillermo Del Toro and starring Ron Perlman as the Titular Character.*

DC's 'SOLO: the Deluxe Edition' is a book you should own. this book collects the entire 12 issue anthology series by an esteemed list of top tier talent. each issue is 48 pages, and consists of various short stories, splashes pages, and personal anecdotes. -Paul Pope's 'Teenage Sidekick' won an Eisner for Best Short Story. I have posted that short story before, so check my tags. -Darwyn Cooke won an Eisner for best Single Issue. Darwyn's Issue was freaking great. One page of it was drawn to be a crayon coloring book maze, where the entire maze was inside of Amazo, starting at his mouth, and you the reader had to escape the 'Amazo Maze'. Smiles all around. -Tim Sale had writing assists from a bunch of his friends, including Darwyn Cooke, who wrote 'Date Night' (again, check my tags because I have posted that little gem before). Tim also included some rather nice bits about his personal life and his artistic growth. -Mark Chiarello won the last of this series' 3 Eisner Awards for being the editor of the best anthology series. The hardcover itself -on top of having a super-spiffy, all-new Mike Allred cover- is a joy to flip through. You need to own this book.
