Marilyn Monroe, by Walt Simonson.
Some Like It Hot (1959)
Reigning supreme as one of the most endearing and enduringly funny movies ever made. If you have never seen it, clear your schedule and prepare to smile.
Such a great movie. I will always appreciate my mom raising me on old movies. I was seeing stuff like this and From Here to Eternity, as a child. Did not see Star Wars until I was 13.
"Some Like it Hot" is one of the funniest movies ever made. Seriously, just go watch the movie if you have never seen it.
Some Like it Hot (1959)
Still the best comedy ever made.
Two of the costumes worn by Marilyn Monroe in the 1953 film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, designed by William Travilla.
This is what www.adamkubert.com just posted. He said he was having "breakfast at Marilyn's in Chester". Done with crayons and a pen, looks like. Quite good.
Jim Steranko, for your appreciation. This man is the best artist of the Silver Age, and one of the 3 best ever. Jack Kirby is neither. Nope, he's not. No, seriously. Jack Kirby had the most prolific imagination, and the most success in translating it, I will give him that. Jim Steranko's page layouts, his renderings, and his art in general are better than anything Kirby ever drew. Go look. Granted, Jim Steranko also takes about 4 months to draw one issue. His art is not about quantity. It is about quality. He did 3 issues of Captain America, yet everyone remembers them. Why? Because of how awe inspiring they are. Again, Kirby had the imagination, and the will to create it. But Jim Steranko is a better draftsman, and he always will be.
