This is page 16 of “Harley and Ivy” #1 (of 3), June 2004, the story is entitled “Busom Buddies”. Shane Glines inked over a copy of Bruce Timm’s blue line pencils. Both are shown here. It’s obvious that, in this case, Glines actually traced over them and with absolute fidelity. Interestingly enough, Bruce Timm has signed this, but Glines has not. Apparently, Timm thinks it’s enough his piece to justify signing it. Note the self-portrait Bruce put into the third panel. “Bruce” is all goofy because Ivy just kissed him. Kinda makes me think about that scene in Fight Club where Jack/the Narrator (Ed Norton) is on the phone with the Cops about his apartment blowing up, and Tyler is using nunchucks around the house for no reason in the background.
the Punisher: the End, as illustrated by Richard Corben, colored by Lee Loughridge, lettered by “ComicCraft’s Rich & Jimmy”, and Scripted by Garth Ennis.
‘the End’ were a series of comics that Marvel published featuring the final tales of their major characters, as written and illustrated by some rather notable people. of the series of books, the best ones are Hulk: the End, by Dale Keown and Peter David, and the Punisher.
Frank Castle was in Sing-Sing prison (Ossining, New York. It is in New York State, about an hour north from Manhattan by car.) the world ended in a Nuclear War. no zombies. no mutants. just burnt out husks of humanity and burning cars in every direction. Frank lived through the nukes, and walked 50 some miles - through a nuclear wasteland - just to find the people who were responsible. the last living person on Earth was Frank Castle, and he spent his last day on Earth wiping out the evil pricks that deserved it. and, as he always knew the case would be, Frank had his punishment in the end too.
oh, and that guy that was with Frank in the beginning? he was with him from the prison. that guy got sent to Sing-Sing for arson. he usually just burnt down places for the insurance. turned out that one of the places he burnt was next to a school. the fire leapt, and a bunch of kids died. the arsonist got life in a cell. Frank killed all the rich guys with his machine guns, and then he strangled the arsonist with his bare hands before going back outside for a walk.
