Some of Jim Lee's awesome DC Comics work. Jim has a number of pages. He posts most of his work on Facebook these days. These, however, I found on: http://www.jimlee00.deviantart.com -My last post was about Jeremy P. Roberts (http://www.JPRart.deviantart.com) and I stated how much of a fan he is of Jim's. The Batman Inferno piece was begun by Jim back in 2008, and he lugged it around to conventions as he worked on it. Once it was finished, Jeremy Roberts did the digital paints. -Jim's Google logo was actually done to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the SDCC. -That's Jim's process for Batman in Barcelona: Demon's Knight (written by Mark Waid). The final colors are by Justin Sinclair. (AKA: "Sinc"). -A couple years back, New York did a program to promote literacy and reading. This World's Finest piece was for that campaign. The Billboard behind the Heroes originally said "New York is Book Country!"
I'm reposing stuff I already ReBlogged from http://westcoastavengers.tumblr.com for a reason. The art is by Jeremy P. Roberts, by the way. His website is: http://www.JPRart.deviantart.com Check it out, it's cool. Anyways, the reason I'm reporting it: The top three images of the Giant Size X-Men team and later have one very important thing missing, and I think it's interesting: These were done for Disney. Can anyone guess what the difference is? I'll tell you anyways: No Thunderbird. Yup, Disney decided to remove that bit. More on Disney later. The rest of the art is by Jeremy P. Roberts as well. That final PinUp of the Justice League & Darkseid is obviously an homage to an artist that he is a big, big fan of: Jim Lee (See my next post!)
Marvel Origins X-Men Book (Disney) by Jeremy Roberts
Jeremy Roberts ~ Marvel Origins X-Men (for Disney)
Wow. This guy is GOOD!
(I hope Disney doesn't do to him what they did to Carl Barks.)
