when I talk with my family about heavy metal music, I usually compare it to classical music. when they balk, I usually play a piano cover of a classic metal song. they have subsequently stopped questioning my musical taste. I am not sure if that means I have convinced them or if they have given up arguing with me because they find the discussions tiresome.
