oh, and Jimmy: my coffee will not pour itself.
Frank Quitely ~ All Star Superman #s 7-12 & the Absolute Cover
Dave Johnson ~ Splash Pages from Superman: Red Son -1st Splash is from Issue # 1, Pg. 14 and it is about as classic a Superman image as there is. -2nd Splash is from Issue # 2, Pg. 25 and this one is a reflection on the relationship between the World's most powerful man and woman: Superman & Wonder Woman. The whole series was written by Mark Millar, with art by Dave Johnson, Killian Plunkett, and others. This is one of the better "Elseworlds" stories, and one of the last times Mark Millar worked for DC. He has said on many occasions that he wants to do a Superman series with art by Bryan Hitch. I would read every issue of that. The long and the short of it is, DC fired Mark Millar for daring to publish a story in the Authority where Apollo and the Midnigher get married. I think the cover was actually them kissing each other, drawn by Frank Quitely. Well, DC is many many things. Progressive and open minded are not amongst those things. DC fired Mark, and Marvel comics got "the Ultimates" and "Ultimate X-Men" from Mark Millar instead.
