As a side note, I always feel bad for the creators of the past who went by such simple names as "Will," not understanding the search engines of the future.

some Vintage Guinness ads by John Gilroy.

He was hired by Guinness through his advertising firm back in the 1920s. These ads made Guinness world famous. Original posters from that era in good condition are extremely collectible and very pricey. One of the posters I found while googling these was listed for over $3k, and it was in rough shape.

the Union Carbide Corporation made a licensing agreement with the King Features Syndicate to utilize some of the King characters in advertisements for the company to be published in magazines. This was the first of those advertisements that Al illustrated, and it is a doozy.
