Hey so I suck at keeping this art-blog updated, particularly because it’s primarily for personal art and I don’t have much time for that anymore. I do art full-time, and while that’s VERY rewarding (furries pay my bills and they are extremely nice, chill, and fun folks but also there are only so many cartoon animals you can draw before it starts wearing u out!!), I do find myself REALLY pining for the days when I was just churning out Silent Hill sketch pages and RP art 24/7, and my own original content for that matter.
It’s just hard to justify (or find the energy for) doing that in the mad scramble to make ends meet each month. So while I’m happy and truly do love what I’m currently doing, I still would really like to make some time to do my own thing too.
SO, I was thinking of starting a Patreon specifically for more personal stuff-- probably with a heavier lean towards horror content than my usual workload (which is very cartoony and cutesy a lot of the time-- not that I don’t ever draw cute personal art or anything, I just wanna be able to draw stuff on the other end of the spectrum too lmao). There would be no tiers, no big rewards for joining outside of maybe voting on what sort of projects I start, essentially just a monthly tip jar for anyone who likes my work and would like to see me make more of it instead of popping up once every few months and posting a single random image with no context and then disappearing again.
If I was able to get a little stream of extra cashflow going in addition to work-work, I could conceivably:
- go back to working on / illustrating Gravity (my obscenely long Silent Hill 2 continuation fic that’s halfway done but hasn’t updated since Trump became president)
- draw more fanart for things I really like in general instead of waiting and hoping for someone to commission it lol (stuff I already draw like SH, FMA, and Pokemon go without saying, but there’s a bunch of other things I’ve been aching to draw more of too-- NITW, Little Nightmares, Doom Patrol, etc etc the list goes on and on)
- revisit my own original characters and concepts, which have been gathering dust for many years (anyone remember Leo? Anybody? ANYBODY??)
- get crazy and start dabbling in traditional media / experimenting with new programs and mediums again (I studied watercolor in college and just never?? have time??? to do it????? :()
- maybe... someday... if the stars align....... I could write Four and Twenty Blackbirds. You know, that Gravity sequel that I was already drawing art for 10+ years ago but never, ever started? (this is a long shot but goddamn wouldn’t it be nice)
So uh, if anyone would be interested in such a thing, particularly if you are interested enough to toss me one (1) dollar each month, please do me a solid and Like this post. Before I go nuts and set anything up, I want to get at least a loose idea of whether or not it would be worth doing.

EDIT: In case the post below is too long, I wanted to clarify more concisely that this picture was commissioned and conceptualized before the protests, and I only picked it to stream while fundraising because it felt relevant. I believe BLM is the most important issue on the table right now and the inclusion of others isn’t intended to downplay BLM at all. For anyone unfamiliar with NITW, the main slogan on the picture is a reference to a line from the game (”Everything sucks forever”).
AND IT’S DONE.
Between both nights streaming, I was able to raise about $160. Thank you to anyone who stopped by, even if it was just to watch!

To say a little bit about the pic, this was actually a commission from back in February, right before the COVID quarantines started. The commissioner was a gentlemen at Anthro New England who was walking around commissioning multiple artists and handing out info pamphlets on voter registration.
The prompt was to draw a character of my choice “participating in democracy” somehow– voting, volunteering, etc-- with the intent of inspiring people to get actively involved and start making a difference.
Of course, since the “due date” was closer to the upcoming election, this commission in particular has been on the back burner since I had a lot of other ones that needed to be completed more quickly. But with the events that have been unfolding, I felt like there was no time like the present.
So instead of one character, I chose four.
Protesting is a form of democracy too.
I was conceptualizing this idea quite some time before the most recent stuff went down, and I already knew I wanted each character to be holding a sign at least somewhat related to themes that come up in the game for them-- Mae’s was originally supposed to be “Unionize”, but considering what we’re in the middle of, I felt like it was important to have Black Lives Matter spelled out in the forefront, so I decided that she’d written “Unionize” on her baseball bat instead.
(I was also tempted to give her an All Cops Are Bastards sign, but it just wouldn’t fit.)
HEY ALL, I will once again be streaming live on my Twitch channel tonight and taking tips for donations to bailout/mutual aid funds for the BLM protests through ActBlue! This was sketched/inked/shaded on Sunday and will be colored tonight starting around 8 PM EST!

THANK YOU to everyone who watched and/or donated last night! We were able to raise about $78. I kept going until a little after midnight when it seemed like things were winding down.
I will be resuming TOMORROW NIGHT (Tuesday, June 9th) to hopefully finish this piece, which will have color and, of course, relevant text on their signs.
