Oh God, I am way too happy. We're actually making a step forward, the Catholic Church is actually making a step forward, this is too good to be true.

Help ban conversion therapy in Northern Ireland
Hey, I saw this petition on twitter and thought I'd share it here. It won't cost anything besides a few seconds of your day.
Be a part of the change.

God bless Scotland.
Hopefully one day, more countries will incorporate the LGBTQ+ community's history and rights to the curriculum. Familiarizing people with sexualities and genders from a young age is a great way for them to grow up with an open mind and acceptance.
Growing up with the knowledge of the struggles and issues they had to go through, and still are going through to have basic rights, will let them value the importance of mutual respect and positivity.
It will let them embrace themselves and others more, build a better society for them and their children since they will also teach them the same values.
Spread love 💕
June is pride month, so let's talk about the LGBTQ+ community and religion
I obviously still have a lot to learn about the history of this community and how much they struggled and I love educating myself on those kind of important subjects but I also love talking about them too since it matters so much to me.
I am not a part of it, only an ally, and I think it's important to use your voice and your platform, no matter how many people are actually listening.
The LGBTQ+ community has always been marginalized, spit on, degraded and direspected.
Ironically enough, most of the time it's Christians and very religious people that spread the most hate. I say ironically because, as a Christian myself, all Jesus has ever said to us was to love one another, to support our brothers and sisters and to not judge, because who are we to claim that we are pure enough to judge?
"Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen." John 4:20
I have never seen anybody use this quote from the bible, surely because it invalidates a lot of the hate fueled self-righteous arguments that fake christians have.
The church was founded on the words of Christ but was built by humans.
The same humans that have changed phrases and words from the bible. The same humans that have lied to the public. The same humans that created war and claimed that it was under Jesus's name. The same humans, that became priests and assaulted, raped and groomed underage children. The same humans that covered those crimes up. The same humans that spend most of their lives criticising and hating instead of spreading love and peace. The same humans that make uncountable mistakes daily and still have inflated egos. The same humans that have the smallest minds and will never admit their wrongs.
So we are supposed to trust those humans with everything and expect them to never do wrong? Are we seriously blindly following those people? They could be (and they are) taking words from the bible, twisting them to fit their own beliefs and narratives, and everybody would still not care. Because of course, they are impeccable people that have never sinned.
People have modified and altered the bible throughout the years. Many of us have different interpretation for most it's content. People love using the old testament to justify their outdated values, even though no one follows it.
The only thing that cannot be misunderstood, yet seems to be the most overlooked, is love, the love that supposedly binds us all.
I am no priest or expert on religion, I know that I have an open mind and think that more people should too.
I just have a hard time accepting the theory that God would create a person with a certain characteristic and then despise them for it.
At the end of the day, it is not a choice, it is not a sin, and even though it may cost you a lot, it may also be a blessing in disguise. It is making you stronger while shaming the ones that are hating on you. Life is full of injustices, but here's a little reminder that you are so valid and appreciated no matter what you or other people think.
Who knows what will happen once we die, but as long as we are alive, we should love more and hate less since I highly doubt that God will find decensy repulsive.
