Your Favorite Streetwear Brand Logos Perfectly Recreated in LEGO®

BAPE. Stussy. Supreme. Their logos are instantly recognizable in any modern medium, whether it be print or digital. But how about in plastic interlocking block form? That’s what illustrator Kamil Piątkowski wanted to prove, and prove he did with these LEGO® reconstructed brand logos. The precision is amazing, and while they’re not as crisp as their digital or printed counterparts, the hundreds of rectangular blocks arranged so perfectly are definitely just as recognizable and thus, memorable.

Supreme "KIDS 20th Anniversary" Capsule Collection

Twenty years have passed since Larry Clark’s debut film, ‘Kids’, was originally unveiled in 1995. ‘Kids’ represented a lens into New York City’s youth culture. Along the way, many were offended as well as enamored with the stark, raw reality of Clark’s documentation. For those unfamiliar with the era, a look back on the film is certainly an important reminder of a time, place and culture that permeated the city of New York. Larry Clark’s ability to connect with such an eclectic cast — many making their silver screen debut — came courtesy of Clark’s exploits photographing skaters in New York. The film’s writer, one Harmony Korine and star, Leo Fitzpatrick were such relationships created their Clark’s creative endeavors. In addition, the film also featured Supreme’s original riders, Justin Pierce and Harold Hunter, Chloë Sevigny, Jeff Pang, Rosario Dawson, and Javier Nunez. In commemoration of KIDS’ 20th anniversary, Supreme is releasing a capsule of items based on stills from the iconic film such as hooded sweatshirts, long-sleeved T-shirts, graphic T-shirts and skate decks.

Kidult Vandalizes Chanel Paris

After enlisting the likes of Christian Louboutin, Supreme, Marc Jacobs and Hermes as unwitting accomplices in his “BRANDalizing” campaigns, Kidult‘s latest onslaught sees the overhaul of Chanel‘s Paris store front. Plastered with bold slogan “50% Off Crisis Day Sale,” the Parisian graffiti artist’s latest piece comes in light of Paris Fashion Week, making mockery of the illustrious event and its footing in consumer culture. In recent times, a clip of Kidult spray painting Marc Jacobs’ Paris store has appeared in A$AP Rocky’s “Fashion Killa” video, reinforcing the artist as a much-conversed topic not only in art and fashion, but also music respectively.

Adrianne Ho: The Unofficial Face of Menswear

You may recognize Adrianne Ho from her GQ spread for Unis, Jake Davis‘s “Test Shots,” or countless shoots in which she proves that streetwear looks better on the fairer sex. Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past year, she has been hard to miss. Strikingly beautiful, the half-French, half-Chinese Toronto native is, as some people put it, the new “it girl,” the “anti-heroin chic model” and a woman who represents the intersection of power, independence, sexuality, all within connections to the city in a relevant way. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that the clothes she models are almost as covetable — an of-the-moment mix of streetwear labels like Supreme and Stussy, #menswear and Nike. Here, we talk to the the Ford Models NYC and Next Management LA model and her job, mixed ancestry and becoming the unofficial streetwear/menswear face of the moment. Read on for the interview in its entirety and check out Adrianne’s exclusive editorial  for the Hypebeast Store above.

Supreme Is Suing Married To The Mob for $10 Million

Supreme founder James Jebbia is suing Married To The Mob for $10 million over trademark infringement. In 2004 Married To The Mob launched their 'Supreme Bitch' t-shirt, which featured an appropriation of Supreme's logo to act as a comment on a male-dominated streetwear subculture. "'Supreme Bitch' is one design of many; one slogan of many. And the use of the design has always been to make fun of the misogynistic vibe of Supreme and the boys who wear it,"
