Kanye West has revealed his Yeezy Season 2 Film, an in-depth look at the making of his latest fashion line from conception to production. While West's first Yeezy Season film in February generated buzz for featuring the still-unreleased song "Wolves," the rapper focuses on fashion in Yeezy Season 2 Film as, on top of not boasting a new track, the short film is completely silent. Lo-Fi Glitch Art Video for the adidas Originals Superstar

Portuguese-Brazilian graphic designer David Galasse was asked by Adidas to create an experimental video for a new global campaign for the brand’s Superstar trainers. The result is a glitchy, trippy 50-second film that questions what it means to be a superstar in today’s world. Pulling references from all things internet and digital, the film is animated by Brazillian motion graphics artist Antonio Vicentini who created this funny history of skateboarding short earlier this year.

Michael Pitt Directs Short Film for Rag & Bone

Rag & Bone loves film and TV. Whether it’s using Winona Ryder or Jerry Seinfeld, it’s fair to say the brand enjoy the visual medium. Its Spring/Summer 2015 campaign shows off this love, allowing Michael Pitt to get behind the camera for the first time. Pitt is on triple duty, creating the score and starring alongside Astrid Berges-Frisbey in addition to directing the film. His former “Boardwalk Empire” co-star Stephen Graham also makes an appearance. If you’ve got 20 minutes to spare now, or at lunchtime, spare it so you can watch this. Aside from a way of seeing Michael Pitt be the arthouse definition of a triple threat, it’s also a great way to get a look at some new Rag & Bone clothing.

Peter Lindbergh: The Heist

Peter Lindbergh has a history of subverting fashion's rigid conventions. For his first Vogue US cover, in 1988 – also the first under the editorship of Anna Wintour – he captured an off-guard moment with model Michaela Bercu dressed in stonewashed Guess jeans and a bejewelled Christian Lacroix couture jacket. This bringing together of the highest echelons of the fashion industry with street wear helped set the course of high-low style for years to come.

Been Trill x KTZ “The Deep Web” Film by Nick Knight

Per both brands’ overarching interest in the ominous aesthetics of the digital age, it makes sense that the collaboration between Been Trill and KTZ would produce in a similarly dark piece. The two brands tapped director Nick Knight for the “The Deep Web” short film, which highlights to the brands’ attitudes while also subtly showcasing the pieces themselves. For the video, Knight focused in on the parallel between subconsciousness and the Internet itself – both vast, intangible spaces that despite our best efforts can remain virtually untapped.

Maryam L'Ange, Chloë Sevigny - "The Beckoning" Film

We love short fashion films and we love Chloë Sevigny. So a short fashion film with Chloë Sevigny is something we think you should definitely watch. As part of SSENSE‘s ongoing shorts series that combines music, film and fashion, Sevigny delivers a suspenseful and quietly dramatic nine-minute feature. Haunted by memories of her gone lover, Madeline, nervously waits for Jack to pick her up, who never shows.

Hedi Slimane’s Directorial Debut for Saint Laurent is Lovely VIDEO

Hedi Slimane made a dance movie, his first film for Saint Laurent. Featuring the label's new line of Ballerina flats and starring house favorite Lida Fox, who dances to an original compostion by Clementine Creevy from Cherry Glazerr, the film mashes together the light, elegant aesthetic associated with traditional Saint Laurent codes and the hipper, harder California grunge direction set by Slimane in his controversial role as designer for the fashion label. Filmed in an open, airy New York City loft space in black and white, the video may not persuade you to adopt a leather bandeau top as a new wardrobe staple, but it's the most convincing expression of Slimane's vision for the house I've seen to date.

3.1 Phillip Lim 2013 Fall/Winter ‘SONOMAMA’ Film  VIDEO

A classic love story is the subject of 3.1 Phillip Lim‘s consideration for their Fall/Winter 2013 campaign, with the label producing a short film entitled SONOMAMA. The film features Kiko Mizuhara and Louis Simonon in the streets of Japan, surrounded by loving friends, contemporary architecture, and even cameo appearances from Black Shadow – the notorious Japanese rockabilly gang. All of these set the tone for 3.1 Phillip Lim’s new collection, an array of playful jackets, trousers, and casual shirts that draw inspiration from the diverse personalities within the ‘racer’ generation. Leather is integral to the range, which uses the material to block cotton, compose biker jackets, and create rich textured bottoms. Enjoy a look at the Fall/Winter 2013 collection from 3.1 Phillip Lim via SONOMAMA, viewable above.

Two Yves Saint Laurent Biopics are in the Works

Before Alber Elbaz, Tom Ford, Stefano Pilati and Hedi Slimane there was the original, the Yves Saint Laurent. For those who aren't familiar with the life of the iconic designer, you'll have your chance. The life of Saint Laurent, who founded the fashion house now referred to as Saint Laurent Paris, will be told in two upcoming biopics, according to WWD. The first is a film called Saint Laurent, which is expected to go into production this spring. The second biopic is called Yves Saint Laurent, accordingly, and will focus on the designer's relationship with Pierre Bergé. The latter reportedly has the support of Bergé himself, so the expectations are quite high. We may just get a glimpse of Saint Laurent's former atelier. No info on release dates yet.
