Alexander McQueen Debuts Moody Fall Campaign

Things have come full circle at the house of Alexander McQueen, at least when it comes to the Fall 2015 collection. At the brand’s Fall 2015 runway show, Sarah Burton explained that her collection about “the spirit of the rose” had been inspired by the photographs of the flower David Sims took for Visionaire—four months later and McQueen reveals a Fall campaign shot by Sims himself.

Marc and Miley -- minus one high profile photographer. Miley Cyrus' smoldering, sulky spring ad campaign for Marc Jacobs dropped Wednesday, Jan. 8, but the look of the stormy shot was ever-so-slightly different from the brand's usual look. That's because Jacobs was forced to tap a different photographer to shoot the campaign, after his usual point man Juergen Teller refused to work with the "Adore You" crooner.

"He just didn’t want to shoot her," Jacobs told WWD on Thursday. In his place, photographer David Sims took the photos -- which were set at a beach and styled by Stefan Beckman -- of Cyrus, 21, and two models, instead. "We wanted this beach with the girls kind of sulky and broody, and we thought it would be cool if it was Miley with what could be two friends, feeling distant and quite dark," the New York-based designer shared.

It’s the behind the scenes of the Prada menswear campaign and apparently “each actor plays a distinct role, creating a trio of characters who bring their individual points of view and style to the collection, brought to life in the Behind The Scenes video by David Sims. Christoph Waltz’s character evokes a studied sense of elegance, Ben Whishaw presents an alternative carefree charm and Ezra Miller brings a youthful air of mystery”.
