FADER TV Bops Through Chicago's West Side With Sicko Mobb
No matter the style, sound, or era, hip-hop lives and dies in the street. Kids taking in the sounds and spirit of their ten-block radius and spewing out art so seamlessly they don't even realize it's art? It's just another Friday night. Here at FADER, we've been obsessed with the dance culture pulsing out of Chicago's west side known as bop, an elastic whirlwind of elbows and knees that draws from uprock breakdancing, Black frat strolling, and genderless body rolls, all set to melodies so sugary that the most skilled practitioners do kids birthday parties as a side hustle. One of the movement's theme songs is Sicko Mobb's "Fiesta," so during a recent trip to Chicago, the FADER TV crew caught up with the duo to hear about the culture from the dancers living it.

Lee Jeans Fall/Winter 2013 "Move Your Lee" VIDEO

Shot in LA, directed by Arnaud Uytenhove, choreography by Celia Hall “The video is presented as an almost hypnotic experience, the movie is talking to the very heart of your unconscious, sweeping you up into the intense moods set to a stirring beat laden soundtrack…” And all this before dinner time. Better start stretching.

CR Fashion Book Issue 2 - "Transformation" VIDEO
In this CR Fashion Book exclusive short, Paul Maffi captured some of the Ballet Collective dancers on film as they go from the dance studio to the stage. They make impossible movements possible with their stretches, they ready their feet and their shoes, and practice those pirouettes, all in preparation for a breathtaking, beautiful performance. In the final scenes, fashion and ballet collide when the dancers don clothes from the likes of Rick Owens and Givenchy.

Sébastien Tellier - Russian Attractions VIDEO
For the sumptuous “Russian Attractions” video, Parisian electro-doer Sébastien Tellier has teamed up with Vice and Air. No, not that Air, Air the beverage, which is alcohol and water. But the partnership is actually a stroke of genius, because after watching the dizzying and soggy video, you will feel both drunk and thirsty.
