Limited Edition Pininfarina Fuoriserie Electric Bike
Longtime Ferrari collaborator, Italy’s Pininfarina, continue their run of luxury machines with this ‘Fuoriserie’ bicycle. Working with bespoke bike maker 43 Milano, an extra injection of power has been added withe the use of a a miniaturized electric engine designed to cover long distances with some pedal push. Limited to just 30, the cycle features LED lighting and a phone charger powered through the dynamo. Incredible woven leather work across the handlebars and saddle, the hide has been sourced from a 1936 Lancia Astura Bocca interior while welded chromed steel tubes coated in walnut briar-root form the fancy frame. Release details to be announced but expect this to hit at around $11,000.
Shinola Bixby x Filson Bicycle
Filson, makers of the renowned Tin Cloth fabric, have teamed up with Shinola to make a special edition of the classic American 3-speed Bixby bicycle. It features bamboo fenders, copper rails and rivets, and leather grips from Shinola. Aside from the earthy green and brown color combo, the bike is distinguished by its vintage panniers and basket bag made from Filson’s weather-resistant Oil Finish Tin Cloth.Priced at $2,900 USD, the bicycle is currently available for order through Filson’s website.
Hermès Carbon Fiber Bikes
French luxury label Hermès has roots in the equestrian world, but the days of horse rides to the grocery store are a thing of the past. Accordingly, the brand is set to introduce a contemporary mode of transportation: two carbon fiber bikes. Though it won’t exactly fit in your closet, expect Hermès’ bike options to be just as luxurious as its apparel offerings. Both lightweight carbon fiber frames – Le Flâneur d’Hermès and Le Flâneur sportif d’Hermès – come with bull calf leather on the saddles, not to mention carry handles and a luggage rack standard. Designed to provide a safe, cushioned ride, the bike also sports hydraulic disc brakes and a choice of either eight or 11 gears. If you have an extra $10,750 USD lying around, pick up one of the bikes when they hit worldwide Hermes locations in November.
Bianchi by Gucci
Aside from being one of the leading fashion houses in the world, Gucci is a progressive company who has introduced several eco-friendly products, such as their biodegradable shoes and sunglasses. We previewed the Bianchi by Gucci collection earlier, and their Carbon Fiber Urban Bicycle is available for ordering in their online shop. The lightweight carbon fiber frame weighs only 22lbs, making cycling in the city a breeze, thanks to the 11-speed drive-train. The iconic diamante pattern details the black handlebar and saddle for a subtle branding. On top of that, Gucci designed a custom helmet and water bottle to complement the bicycle.
