Kate Moss Turns Director for British Vogue
Kate Moss turns director and camerawoman for the September 2014 issue of British Vogue. Giuseppe Zanotti: The Art of the Woman’s Shoe
Marilyn Monroe once said “Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.” This is certainly one mantra that Italian maestro, Giuseppe Zanotti lives by. The one time DJ who grew up in San Mauro Pascoli, a small town that has a long tradition of shoe-making has acquired a cult following of fashionistas and celebrities alike. And It’s not exactly hard to see why; smoking hot sneakers for daytime and the highest of all heels for night time, Zanotti does it all, transforming women with the peep of a toe or a sculpted heel. Life + Times caught up with the legendary luxury shoe designer to discuss his muses, music taste, and his brotherly love for Kanye West.
Mario Sorrenti - "Draw Blood For Proof" Book and Interview
During the 90s, Mario Sorrenti began covering the walls of his New York studio with snapshots, polaroids, contact sheets and pieces of ephemera. Strung together like a thread of memories, they became a way of working for Sorrenti and offered a rare insight into his artistic process. Several years later, in 2004, these works made up a large-scale photographic installation at the Andrew Roth Gallery entitled Draw Blood for Proof. Exploring the idea of presenting private works within a public space, Sorrenti then re-photographed the gallery installation and has now released it in his new tome.
Here, in a rare interview, Sorrenti tells us why all his inspirations are now stored on a computer and why he didn’t see his early works as "being radical or sexy."

War Photographer Steve McCurry To Shoot 2013 Pirelli Calendar, Karlie Kloss Rumored to Be In It
The Pirelli calendar, known for its artsy and very naked photographs of celebs and models, shot, usually, by fashion photographers like Mario Sorrenti (who did last year’s), Terry Richardson, or Karl Lagerfeld, is headed in a very different direction for 2013.
Steve McCurry, an acclaimed photojournalist best known for that haunting National Geographic photo of the Afghan girl with green eyes, has been confirmed as the photographer. But who are his 12 muses? Modelinia is reporting a rumor that Karlie Kloss has signed on to the project.
Karlie Kloss naked is nothing new. The model caused a lot of controversy when she posed nude for Steven Meisel in Vogue Italia, and frequent appearances on runways. But if she is involved, she may not be nude.
Photographer McCurry said, “I want to portray women who are sexy without being naked.” The shoot had been scheduled for May in Brazil, so the portraits are most likely in the can.
