A First Look at the Public School x Air Jordan Horizon

Public School NYC has long been collaborating with Jordan Brand on a few of its signature sneakers such as the Air Jordan 10 and Air Jordan 12, so the Horizon might come as a surprise to some. The silhouette features a fully-knitted upper set atop an Air Jordan 13 sole, and is similar to the popular Air Jordan Future lifestyle sneaker. Public School NYC’s iteration of the Horizon features a black and white upper featuring geometric shapes. Although an official release date hasn’t been made, expect this pair to retailer around $225 USD.

Your Favorite Streetwear Brand Logos Perfectly Recreated in LEGO®

BAPE. Stussy. Supreme. Their logos are instantly recognizable in any modern medium, whether it be print or digital. But how about in plastic interlocking block form? That’s what illustrator Kamil Piątkowski wanted to prove, and prove he did with these LEGO® reconstructed brand logos. The precision is amazing, and while they’re not as crisp as their digital or printed counterparts, the hundreds of rectangular blocks arranged so perfectly are definitely just as recognizable and thus, memorable.

A Look Inside the Jordan Hangar in Los Angeles

Newly opened by Jordan Brand is the Jordan Hangar court in Playa Vista, Los Angeles. The futuristic court features the official logos of LA Clippers stars Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, as well as a fragmented graphic print design. Meant to be a permanent fixture in LA, the court is essentially SoCal’s compliment to New York’s Terminal 23 and will serve as a facility for both Griffin and Paul, as well as a performance basketball space for the community, high school competitions, and future Jordan Brand events. Besides the court itself, the space includes custom-built bleachers, locker rooms, product displays, and even a gaming lounge.

fragment design x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Preview

Though kept, understandably, under wraps for the past few weeks, visual evidence of a new collaboration between fragment design and Jordan Brand has finally surfaced. The project will consider the seminal Air Jordan 1 silhouette, with Hiroshi Fujiwara and company outfitting the silhouette in a classic blue, black and white color scheme. Something of a crossover between the “Black Toe” and ‘Royal’ releases from last year, the shoe simultaneously nods to the AJ1 heritage while also keeping Fujiwara’s design language intact. Subtle ‘lightning’ logo is embossed at the leather heel panel, while Jordan Brand’s O.G. ‘wings’ logo covers the external ankle cover. Obviously, details from both parties have been kept to a mum, but stay tuned for more information as it releases.

Air Jordan 3 Retro “Wolf Grey”

Frequently iterated in various forms since the beginning of the year, here Jordan Brand introduces a more refined version of the hallmark Air Jordan 3 Retro for summer. This “Wolf Grey” edition finds the sneaker done up in an enduring grey, black, and white colorway, executed with full grain leather along the paneled upper. A black/metallic grey rendition of Jordan Brand’s hallmark ‘Elephant’ pattern graces the heel counter, toecap, and lace loops, while wrinkled and smooth grey leather juxtapose each other at the forefoot and through the ankle. All these handsome features are offset by a time-tested white midsole, contrasted by a translucent grey outsole.

"Jordan Shine" Preview

Jordan Brand presents its first look at its newest model, the Jordan Shine. As the name implies, the new silhouette features a premium woven leather upper with a glossy finish paired to a tonal rugged midsole. While the weave bears a striking resemblence to the Jordan Future, the coarser woven pattern on the Shine is broken up by a smooth toecap and heel. As the preview shows, it looks like it will drop in both black or red options when it drops at select locations including Barneys New York.
