Backstage is by far the best way to see how good Michele is. Each stand for every model looks like a mini-store in itself, with giant suede wedges and ’70s lamé disco sandals standing on shoe boxes, so you can see the serpents tooled inside the heels, the diamante-framed ’80s sunglasses, the earrings, the net-veiled hats, the velour wide-brimmed fedoras, the turbans, the ankle-length socks with the grabby graphic of the Gucci luggage-stripe around the top.

Grace Coddington to Release a Fragrance in Collaboration with Comme des Garçons
Grace recently stepped down from her full-time role at Vogue Magazine to make time for new projects. The first one is a collaboration with Comme des Garçons Parfum. With Adrian Joffe and Comme des Garçons Parfum Creative Director, Christian Astuguevieille, they’ve created Grace’s first fragrance that has top notes derived from her long time love of roses. For its distinctive bottle, Grace worked closely with artist Fabien Baron.
Beyoncé Launches ‘Ivy Park’ Activewear Brand

How do you get noticed as a designer in 2016? According to 19-year-old Parisian Alexandre Daillance (aka Millinsky), not by heading to fashion school, completing internships and then trying to make a name for yourself. Last year, Millinsky had an idea to raise the profile of his hat brand NASASEASONS, which he co-founded aged just 17 – he’d slide into the DMs of Instagram influencers (as well as the inboxes of buyers, fashion editors, and other members of the press) and get them to wear or feature his items.

There is no doubt that the early ’80s have been triggering designers recently (J.W.Anderson’s vast leg-of-mutton sleeves were the bellwether, last season), but Slimane it was who seized the opportunity to plug straight back into the power of the main man, Yves Saint Laurent. There is still no cut-and-dried announcement about whether this means that Hedi Slimane is staying on at Saint Laurent, possibly in an upgraded couture capacity, or whether the incredible red fox fur heart-shaped cape at the end of this show was his kiss-off to fashion for the moment. If it was, he is heading off covered in glory.
adidas Reissues the AS 350 for the Very First Time
The adidas AS 350 was arguably one of the rarest models to come out of Herzogenaurach. Originally a Japan-exclusive, the tennis sneaker was released under the AS Series back in the late ’70s and early ’80s, but unfortunately the silhouette hasn’t been brought back from the archives since then. For spring/summer season adidas‘ SPEZIAL line has unveiled a remake of the ultra-rare shoe, one which features a similar perforated toe and premium leather construction. The heritage design also features contrasting black leather accents and gold foil labelling along the side panel. Finished off with tonal lacing and a gum outsole, look to purchase the adidas 350 SPZL at select Three Stripes accounts across the globe.

With its focus on poise and physicality, the dance world serves as the perfect training ground for models. Dancers have perfect posture, innate elegance, and know how to move, all of which, when coupled with the shared understanding of the physical demands of either career, allows them to transition seamlessly into modeling’s extreme poses. Many of the best models of all time—Lisa Fonssagrives, Naomi Campbell, and Karlie Kloss among them—came into the industry with extensive dance training that they were able to apply to their fashion work. Kanye West has released a new track titled “Ultralight Prayer” for Easter Sunday via his Soundcloud account. In what seems to be an update to the opening “Ultralight Beam” on The Life of Pablo, the latest version features a sermon by Kirk Franklin and a gospel choir with Kelly Price singing acapella.
