Solebox on Berlin's Creative Energy and Its Collaboration with Converse CONS

Converse‘s CONS has launched a new collection on its Breakpoint model. Teaming up with four of Europe’s most revered sneaker doors – Patta, Solebox, Footpatrol and Starcow — the collection consists of four respective silhouettes all upheld by detailing inspired by the brands’ heritage. For Solebox‘s rendition, the Berlin-based mainstay drew inspiration from the colorway of founder Hikmet Sugoer‘s old car; a vintage model comprised of a red body and black interior. The result is a smart-casual sneaker that can be worn in both formal and casual occasions. In the interview below, Sugoer touches on the humble beginnings of Solebox, while also listing particular night clubs and spots people should check out on their next visit to the city of Berlin.

CONS Introduces Sean Pablo and Sage Elsesser

CONS continues making summer moves by recruiting the young talents of Sean Pablo and Sage Elsesser. The duo, initially breaking out in Supreme’s “cherry” earlier this year, has been officially welcomed to the CONS squad with a new video by Richard Quintero. Filmed over the course of two days, Elsesser and SP showcase raw and powerful moves on street – taking the hard way or skipping over obstacles completely to roll through New York City in style. With the guys also having amateur spots on Jason Dill and Anthony Van Engelen’s Fucking Awesome upstart, be on the lookout for more from this promising pair as the summer continues.

Nigel Cabourn for Converse 2013 Capsule Collection

Nigel Cabourn and Converse present a closer look at their collaborative capsule collection of footwear for Spring/Summer 2013. Taking inspiration from heritage military footwear, the collection includes takes on the Chuck Taylor All Star Bosey as well as a brand new silhouette – the Chuck Taylor All Star Specialty Plimsole. While the Bosey editions of the high-top classic boast water-resistant Ventile uppers and militaristic hues of navy and olive drab, the Specialty Plimsole is a hybrid silhouette of sorts and pairs typical Converse design cues with those of a British P.E. training shoe that dates back to 1941. Crafted from high-grade Italian denim and lined in canvas, the Plimsole comes complete with a rugged traction outsole and durable toecap. The Nigel Cabourn for Converse 2013 capsule collection drops on April 11 at End Hunting Co. in the UK.
