Kraftwerk Retrospective at MOMA – Night 1/Autobahn
The MOMA in New York City hosted the first of eight nights celebrating the 35 year of music from Germany’s avante-garde electronic outfit, Kraftwerk. The “Kraftwerk Retrospective 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8” is celebration and study of eight Kraftwerk recordings as well as the accompanying 3-D visuals – performed in their entirety – one per evening.
Night one of the Retrospective focused on the ~42 minute “Autobahn” album which sounded spectacular on a sound system. Sonically, fans of Kraftwerk and music will not be disappointed with the crisp, black, and clear sound – balanced and tuned for these very performances. We salute MOMA and Kraftwerk for a strong focus on the sound environment.
For those attending the remaining shows of the eight night Retrospective, prepare to be sonically and visually impressed. With less than 500 tickets sold and distributed for each night, those in attendance will find the room both spacious and respecting of the performance.
