The Field Remix Tame Impala’s “Mind Mischief” VIDEO

The Field‘s been keeping new material relatively close to the chest for awhile, aside from an excellent Adult Swim Single.  But now the Swedish electro looper has quietly released a remix of Tame Impala‘s “Mind Mischief,” and it’s a treat to say the least. At eleven minutes, you’re given to time to really sink into the track’s airy layers of psychedelia and funk, cycling back into each other like a kaleidoscopic Modius strip. But its repetition masks a very gradual series of changes that keep the atmosphere mystical and intriguing, and creates an entirely new and exciting journey.

Is This Kate Upton Commercial Too Risqué for TV? VIDEO

Kate Upton is all about the risqué commercials, but it seems her latest ad for Zoo York went a little too far, even for MTV and Adult Swim, and was banned. The commercial (featured below) shows a couple of cockroaches hanging out on a park bench in New York City, commenting on their love of skateboarding and/or Kate Upton who cruises by on a run. The roaches talk about waxing, grinding, and sliding it backside/frontside - explicit terminology that can be used as skateboard lingo, but obviously is centered around Kate. But such language wasn’t the reason for the commercial’s ban, the bleeped out curse words and a close up of the supermodel’s “erect nipple,” as stated by Zoo York’s press release, were deemed too provocative for cable TV. But thank goodness for the internet!
