Post-game Security Breach Pizzaplex Faz-Fam AU
This idea has been explored in dozens of short comics and posts already, but I love the idea of Gregory moving into the Pizzaplex after the events of the game. All the animatronics are nice, repaired and with the glitch removed, and although Gregory is nervous at first he comes to like each of them, his favorite still being Freddy of course. Freddy is the forever dad of the group with Roxy and Chica being the temperamentally vain and foodie doting aunts respectively. Monty is a gruff and grumpy uncle, but with a deeper soft side, fiercely protective. The gator growls when other kids try to bully Gregory for being small or tech-smart, calling him “Pizzaplex Pet” which they do whenever they think he’s being favored over others in any activity at the Pizzaplex.
Living at the Pizzaplex is probably complicated, the legal hoops Fazbear Entertainment, at Freddy’s uncommonly fierce insistence, have to jump through to make it happen would just be the start. Gregory, as a homeless orphan, may have been in group homes and foster homes before and had bad experiences after which he ran away, and shared them with Freddy, who takes it all to heart and reiterates his promise that he will let no harm come to the child.
Gregory has a personalized security badge that gives him access to most places in the Pizzaplex, though I think it could probably be remotely controlled, perhaps by Freddy or security staff, and he might be cut off from some especially dangerous areas. But Gregory of course is clever and sneaky, and nosy too, and he knows ways around the Pizzaplex that most people don’t. He didn’t get through that fateful night by playing by the rules after all. Freddy at least has some sway in convincing him of the dangers of places, but anyone else, staff or management, trying to keep him out of anywhere he’s curious about usually will prove to be a fruitless endeavor.
Sunrise/Moondrop is a favored babysitter of course whenever the animatronics are too busy or decommissioned for maintenance or off on company mandated trips for promotional what-have-yous. Although, with permanent residence in a room of his own, not to mention with him being so self-sufficient and independent, Gregory doesn’t see the need for a babysitter. All the same, he enjoys the games Sunrise plays with him and Moondrop’s bedtime stories and, begrudgingly, his healthy snacks. Sunrise’s deeply ingrained understanding of child psychology also makes him invaluable as an advisor for Freddy and the others when they stumble or don’t know how to proceed in the tricky business of parenthood.
Of course Superstar Bonnie will be there too, found or recovered or however he comes back, we all know he’s got to return. And Gregory gets a second dad when he shows up. SS Bonnie is more laid-back than Freddy and dishes out wisdom and ice cream too, though he’s also damaged, as are all of the animatronics, and Gregory too. Insecurity, guilt, anxiety, all of them have trauma and issues, some of it only half-remembered and they all come to realize that they need Gregory in their artificially intelligent lives as much as he needs them, their family bonds become the glue holding them all together and keeping them from shattering again. It becomes a beacon, a ward against the darkness and those evil influences still festering in the depths of the dark.
I like to think Gregory would go to a regular school, even if his home life is anything but regular. Freddy wants him to grow up well-balanced even if that feels like a fool’s errand a lot of the time. But he gets help from his homework and his animatronic family even comes to school events and PTA meetings sometimes, which is generally awkward and embarrassing, but appreciated by Gregory all the same.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Fazbear Entertainment establishment without some secrets, drama, and conflict. Perhaps there’s more lurking in the shadows of the Pizzaplex even with Afton vanquished (for now). And maybe the mystery of Gregory’s parentage will be revealed in time. But the chosen found family he’s formed at the Pizzaplex will remain strong and supportive through anything that happens.
I’d give the sitcom six seasons and a movie franchise.
