Ever More Security Breach Superstar Daycare/Pizzaplex Headcanons
Since these posts are turning out to be more popular than I ever could have expected, here’s some more thoughts I’ve had about Sunrise and Moondrop and the Superstar Daycare and the Pizzaplex in general.
-The Guest Profile of each child is registered with the check-in desk and is accessible to every animatronic. This profile can include food allergies, special instructions for disabilities, medication requirements, and tons of other stuff that parents input when they register.
-Guest Profiles are accessible by all animatronics and employees with clearance. Profiles include a facial scan and a registration number that’s associated with a colored security wristband (like FNAF 6).
-These Profiles are especially important for day-long and overnight kids staying at the Superstar Daycare, and so Sunrise/Moondrop especially is an expert on them and can pull them up and cross-reference them at a moment’s notice. Scores of childrens’ data is always streaming through their head, so it’s really no wonder they’re always so anxious and neurotic. (This also makes Sunrise/Moondrop one of the most valuable animatronics to hack for Afton’s purposes.)
-The Pizzaplex isn’t built to really accommodate special needs since Fazbear Entertainment cares more about profit than people, obviously. They have escalators and the occasional elevators, but these are clearly implemented without enormous regard to the physically handicapped since they’re often out of order and in roundabout locations and don’t give access everywhere. Plus they’re the main way to access some places, so they’re often overcrowded.
-The animatronics have to improvise when the accommodations are inadequate, which is often. They have autonomously set up internal systems for when a Guest is suffering from overstimulation for example, which is quite common given the look of the place with all its bright colors and neon lights and loud music, especially when full to the brim with people. They can take guests to quiet areas to calm down, which they’re able to locate by accessing the old audio sensors (from FNAF 1) and looking for low activity. (Another well-meaning system that could be abused by Afton’s hacker.)
-Animatronics can also use their pathfinding software to locate alternate routes for individuals with wheelchairs or other physical disabilities. (Freddy used this a lot in-game to help Gregory) They’re always apologetic about offering these as they’re usually wildly out of the way.
-The animatronics see every single child and Guest as special and important though and are programmed to want to make their day at the Pizzaplex the very best that they can. While they’re connected to the system, they are authorized to provide special free promotional discounts and passes (within reason) to folks suffering an inconvenience. Any Guest that walks away dissatisfied or unhappy they take as a personal failing even if there was nothing they could do.
-All animatronics know ASL and dozens of different spoken and written languages. Staff will sometimes rely on them when they can’t communicate with a guest.
-The animatronics are programmed to entertain and seek smiles first and foremost, so they’re experts at dealing with tantrums and crying and awkward situations. When kids get homesick in the Daycare for example, Sunrise can talk to them or take them to a phone to call their parents. Usually, the Glamrocks make the kids laugh with their patented charm and jokes though.
-Sunrise/Moondrop is used to working with younger kids, (ages 3-12) so when they have older charges they don’t quite know what to do. They are an expert at child psychology, but teenagers baffle them. (Roxy and Monty are better at dealing with teens due to their personality.)
-Sunrise/Moondrop is often made fun of by older kids for their “cringe” childish appeal and sometimes the kids on the threshold (11-12) are peer pressured into disliking them too since they don’t want to be associated with “baby” things.
-Sunrise/Moondrop is smart and crafty in more ways than one however. They’re formidable and clever and you don’t want to get on their bad side.
-For instance: bullies are endemic at the Pizzaplex, as they are in any significant concentration of people and especially of children. Sunrise/Moondrop doesn’t hold with bullying, it’s strictly against the rules, no matter the bully’s age, child or adult. But since they’re only authorized to punish children they can’t do much about nasty, mean adults. Not directly, at least.
-Sunrise/Moondrop is attuned to every single Guest’s Profile and the employees too though, so they know everything about everyone. Other animatronics aren’t nearly as dangerous to have against you. Sometimes they let little details slip to certain folks to “discourage” bullying from parents, adults, and staff. They might formulate little ironic “pranks” if this doesn’t work, never detectable in the aftermath, of course. Escalation past that point can get a teensy bit... “deadly”. (FNAF has always had something of a “twisted” taste when it comes to comeuppance.)
