Figure Drawing Co-op RP w/ Shy-Randall and UncleKoopus

kroupa kartunes: M!A RP with Shy-Randall and UncleKoopus
The old arts building at Monsters University was just across the river from the Aquatics specialty facilities; a stiff, tall, rectangular building, it looked quite plain and economic, especially opposed to the large and grandiose School of Scaring building with its neoclassical architecture and great marble pillars. It would be easy to overlook the old place, with ivy mercilessly devouring the faded brick facade, but it had some nice, intricate details in the molding around the formally brass-barred windows and a petina’d bronze plaque out on the stoop claimed: Est. 3082, Mauhaus Academy of Art.
Entering the “Mauhaus” was a lot less intimidating than approaching the towering freizes of the School of Scaring. But once you got inside… The interior was sparse of formal decoration as well, that isn’t to say it was bare, but the artsy student monsters of the past had taken it upon themselves to “spruce” the place up, the result was a magnificent clash of centuries of overlapping graffiti and murals, public art wars, idelogogical propoganda and satire, outdated political statements and massive homages to media figures and fanart. It was overwhelming; every corridor was lined with this higgle-dy piggl-dy marvelous mess, it wound its way into every corner, climbing the stairwells and leaking into classrooms, even the run-down restroom in the basement. A pair of students passing Randy as he entered, toting sketchbooks and large cases of art supplies, seemed completely unphased by the extraordinary inner sanctum, apparently it was something they saw every day, and had accustomed to it as a result.
But Randall didn’t have time to dawdle, the drawing co-op wouldn’t wait for him! The floor of the drawing hall was spattered with dozens of layers of speckled paint drippings the material beneath had long since been lost, but appeared to have once been a fine wood paneling. The room was very tall, and circular, like the lecture halls of the Scaring School, but unlike the dark and shadows Randy was used to, the drawing hall was bright and cheery and gloriously messy.
There was already around dozen monsters assembled for the co-op, some chatting as they set up their canvases for the evening, others already buried in their work, several arms mixing paint, daubing rolls with palette knives and blending with brushes all at the same time, and there were still others doing warm-up sketches in their sketch books, squatted on stools. Professor Kroupa was talking cheerily with a small group of monsters in the center, Randy easily recognized the broad shoulders, v-shaped back, and mighty curved horns of his frat brother, Johnny. Some of the others around him included a very tall, curvy female monster with slicked back white feathers and a long, banana-like beak, there was also a rather rotund gent with four sets of brawny arms, a flat, flabby face and a dull, muddy complexion. All three of the models were wearing dressing gowns, Johnny sporting his lush, crimson Roar-Omega-Roar monogrammed robe.

Randall's cheeks went bright red as he spotted Johnny. He felt something stirring deep inside him, making him blush even brighter. He shook his head and walked straight over to Professor Koopus and smiled at him as he continued talking about something to do with "going into as much detail for the entire body". He decided to keep that in mind as he walked back over to his bag that was in a chair. Compared to everybody else, all he had was a sketchbook, a few pencils, and 2 erasers. Everybody else was toting around stacks of paper, cans of paint, and one even had a digital sketchpad with him. He walked back over to the Professor, who was now looking at the models in their robes, and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Umm, Professor? Should I have brought more supplies with me?"

The kappa spun about to face Randall, and a broad grin spread across his face. The magic that had artificially infatuated him with the young student had since dissipated, but he still cared deeply for Randall, and especially for his creative potential, which there was a LOT of, he was sure.

"Oh, no, no, no, Mr. Boggs, a pencil and paper is plenty for a first time. I'm glad you could make it." He squeezed the sophomore's upper shoulder encouragingly. "Just in time, as we're about to start." He gave Randy a small smile and broke away from the models, striding into the center of the hall, where chairs and a reclining sofa had been set up. With a snap of his webbed fingers the surrounding lights dimmed to a subtle golden glow, (enough to draw by, at least)  leaving the kappa professor standing in a dramatically lit spotlight. The babble of friendly talk quietened immediately. Koopus clasped his claws, beaming around at the assembled artists. "Good evening, everyone. I'm so glad you could join us tonight." He bowed respectfully left and right as he spoke, as was his normal lecturing habit. "We'll be starting with some quick, minute poses to warm up. I'd like you all to participate if you like. These kinds of gestures are the perfect way to get the brain pumping and the natural rhythm started." He beckoned the models forward from their shadowy corner, Johnny trailed behind the other two, glancing at Randall. His dark face was difficult to read, but he almost looked nervous. The other two monsters had obviously done this hundreds of times before and were positioning themselves confidently. The tall, neck-y female had dropped her dressing gown nonchalantly over a stool and shook out a mane of feathery pink hair. Her fellow model, the squatter, fatter male had done the same, his bare flesh just as blotchy as his face. But Johnny was hesitant, with his claws fingering the ties at the front of his robe.

Professor K. approached him, smiling. Johnny was at least double his height and thrice his breadth, but the smile the kappa gave was like one a father would give a frightened child, riding the first time on a bike without training wheels. He spoke in an undertone momentarily with the monster and Johnny nodded, took a deep breath and shirked off the robe. Of course Randall had seen Johnny without conventional clothes dozens of times at the frat house, but never in a way so obviously drawing attention to his nude form. The ROR president was avoiding the eyes of the crowd, fixated on the ceiling paneling instead.

"Alright, first pose starting in 3, 2... 1." Koopus spoke loudly from the behind the circle of avid observing artists, clicking an old fashioned, heavy brass pocket watch. The models chose their poses, the slender avian lady going for a classical contrapposto and twist of her thighs and waist, the larger gentlemonster pulling a rather heroic, discus-thrower, and Johnny... well, he stood awkwardly for a moment before fidgeting through a few positions, crossing and uncrossing his arms, before finally settling on something of a bashful bodybuilding pose, flexing one bicep, the other arm pointing diagonally to the heavens.
