“I missed you too, my love,” she told him, before laying a lopsided kiss on his shoulder.

“I was waiting for you, love,” she replied. “It gets lonely…”

“I know. I wish I didn’t have to be gone so long,” he said with a sigh. “You could have friends over though. I don’t want you having to just wait...”

“No, just came to see you right away,” he said, closing his eyes. “What about you?”

Kimiko blushed. “Tashi…” he muttered.

“I visited the library,” she explained. “Read mostly…went to the gardens…and what has my dearest been up to?”

“Lots of meetings. Paperwork. It’s miserable sometimes,” he said, closing his eyes.

“Could use a nice relaxing night.”
