been thinking about this a LOT the last couple days

Cosplayer CutiePieSensei thought it would be neat to create a Black Panther costume in the event Shuri ever had to take the mantle.
This might be even more impressive than the movie costume because it’s not CGI. In many scenes they kept nothing but Chadwick’s head.

t'challa - so, a bird-man, with carbon fiber wings shuri - not bad t'challa - and a, spider-boy? he was on our side, though. so was the, snake girl? shuri - i thought she had a spider theme as well t'challa - are you sure? he spun webs where she had more like a poison dart system. maybe a scorpion. oh, i brought you some of the webbing. shuri - this is clever but very rough. like he made this in a school laboratory. i thought he had a stark suit? t'challa - maybe an intern. oh, and the shrinking man had an ant-theme going on. size puns i suppose. he also got very tall at one point, that was fairly impressive. shuri - i saw that on cnn. i could probably rig that up for you. t'challa - no thank you shuri - maybe okoye then. t'challa - and then, let me see, an archer, barnes, superman- shuri - sorry, did you say an archer? like, archery? did he have a snake theme too? t'challa - he said his name was clint. he had fancy arrows. shuri - ...if you say so. t'challa - and then the psychic girl, captain america, and two iron men. shuri - did they have anything fancier than guns? t'challa - rhodes had a kind of stun-baton and a sonic disruptor thing, but the only real innovation was that the ant person shrunk a fuel truck and surprised rhodes with it. shuri - ...that's nice. i would like a closer look at that one. maybe a squad of dora milaje that fit in your pocket? that one has legs. t'challa - my suit is enough. shuri - if you say so, brother.

these two little girls came into work today, both black, both with their hair in space buns. and i went “you guys look like a princess i know” and they sighed and went “tiana?” because they were so use to being compared to the only black princess and i went “no. shuri” and omg, the oldest one lit up like a christmas tree. she was like “shuri is my favorite! no one believes she’s a princess!”
