as we live in this golden age where you can buy dozens of different wonder woman toys at target or tru in a dozen different styles and sizes based on three films (bvs ww jl), two cartoon series (dcsh girls + jl action), and also the comics, not to mention all the high end japanese releases, remember the long stretch between her 84-86 super powers figure and the the 98 release of her first dc direct figure and a kb exclusive jla figure that there were NO wonder woman toys, anywhere. and usually only one or two at a time, such as this 2004? 10" version of her 4.5" jlu figure. #wonderwoman #jlu #00stoys #representation

Legit one of the best moment in the entire DCAU
I watched this episode as a kid it fucked me up
I hated this episode, felt like they were trying to justify Batman taking over the show.
Whaaaaaaat.
They thought it was going to be the last episode over of the DC Animated Universe, and since DCAU started with Batman, they wanted to finish with Batman. Last lines of the episode were even the same as the first lines of the first episode of BTAS.
It was the only Batman-centric episode of the season. ”Taking over the show,” my ass!

help I care too much about an extremely minor character on a show everyone else was watching like six years ago
a couple of years from now there’s going to be a bunch of little girls who love tauriel bc she’s the only girl in the hobbitses, and they’re going to have her action figures and posters and everything, and then they’re going to read the book, and she won’t be in it. and neither will galadriel. or //any women at all//. later they’ll grow up and find an army of dudes who hate tauriel ‘bc she wasn’t in the book’ (though nobody seemed to have a problem when legolas showed up at the battle of five armies) and it won’t quite be the same as going from liking animated teen titans starfire* and then reading ‘red hood and the outlaws’? but you get the idea. this is one part of the ramp-up to lotr that i’d hoped we wouldn’t have to relive, though now i’m not sure why. *(probably closer to the generation raised on animated jlu seeing ryan reynolds and asking ‘why did they cast some white dude as john stewart?’)
