We keep rescuing bookshelves our neighbors try to throw away. At this point we have like six (really four, but one of them is actually eight foot boards on cinderblocks so it’s the equivalent of three standard sized ones) in our living room now. What I guess should not be astonishing, but kind of is, is that no space on these shelves remains empty for more than a couple of days at most. Our books seem to breed. And then I am like, “Where the fuck were we storing these before? Oh, right. On the couches and tables and floor.” Anyway, these two shelves we keep trying to put things on, but certain personages have other ideas and have knocked down anything impeding their ability to sloth on them.
