differneces between paintball and lazer tag::

paintball more colorful

lazer tag sponsored by CIA

counterpoint: paintball was invented by a florida man who went big game hunting & wanted to experience gunning down humans with impunity for fun & profit

from wikipedia:

In 1976, [Charles Gaines of Jacksonville, FL] returned to New Hampshire from an African buffalo-hunting safari, and discussed with his friend Bob Gurnsey the idea of a game in which the participants would stalk each other through the woods. The concept was inspired in part by the short story The Most Dangerous Game by Richard Connell. In 1981, Gaines and eleven others played the first game of paintball, using Nel-Spot pistols which were intended for marking trees and livestock by ranchers. This initial game was a capture the flag style scenario. Later, Bob Gurnsey formed the National Survival Game company, which was the first firm to sell paintball equipment.
In 1997 Gaines published a novel entitled Survival Games which features inventors of paintball, probably based upon Gaines and Gurnsey, as the main characters.

Entire Georgia county claims no mail-in ballots.

How does Brian Kemp explain his incompetence? How does he explain suppressing votes from certain counties?

Fun fact: there is a pan American elections integrity council (I forget the actual name), that loves to step in and ‘help’ central and south American nations whenever stuff like this happens.

I wonder if they’re writing up a proposal for the US right now 🤔🤔

if true the entirety of the results are tainted and the whole election shld be nullified and redone, not, called for the lsst person ahead **before the fraud started** who just happens to be in your party, fraud on that scale //supports a recount, or more//, not **oh well**. (much as if 3 million voted illegally in 2016 then those results should have been rejected, wierd how the system always breaks for the gop's advantage). In February 2015, Food Not Bombs sued the city, claiming that the ordinance and associated park rule violated their right to free speech and free association, and were “unconstitutionally vague.” A year later, a federal district court dismissed their case, and held that their food sharing events were outside the scope of the First Amendment because they did not convey a “particularized message.” But the Supreme Court rejected that line of reasoning more than two decades ago. In its 1995 decision, Hurley v. Irish-American Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual Group of Boston, the High Court ruled that Massachusetts could not force veterans organizing a St. Patrick’s Day parade to include gay, lesbian and bisexual individuals.

Federal Court: First Amendment Protects Sharing Food With Homeless People so you can read more about that precedent here but tldr a case that in 95 came down //against// a boston glb* group who wanted to march in a saint patrick's day parade, is today being used to defend a group feeding homeless ppl in a fort lauderdale park **specifically bc they hand out literature aa well** in a college campus table kindbof way that would deff be seen as :having a message' this isn't quite, feeding the homeless is an inherently political act (though that ia included in the court's deciaion aa a factor), which makes this a bit muddier ethically than the church of satan offering a religius freedom exemption to transvaginal ultrasounds, weaponizing the very tool used by the christian right to discriminate in the first place still, a poaitive outcome and a good first step in what I CAN'T FUCKING BELIEVE is a federal case, but which neatly illustrates the importance of federal authority vs state's rights, and the moral bankruptcy of gop christians

Hopefully this doesn’t burst anybody’s bubbles, but the video’s fake (https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/did-man-save-friend-from-reptilian-attack/)

Now, by fake I mean: the alligator wasn’t real, it was put there as a prank by some Youtubers, to record people’s reactions. So the guy a) survived, and b) reacted as he would (AKA: fought a fucking alligator to save his friend) had it been real, because neither of them knew it wasn’t.

To quote Snopes: It appears that the “elbow drop” move was actually a real, good-faith, and quite courageous response to an uncomfortably realistic and relatively low-effort prank

Ok but like…. that still doesn’t change the fact that this absolute legend genuinely thought an alligator was about to eat his friend and he ELBOW DROPPED the fucking thing to save him!!!! That’s some true ass friendship right there

jusr so we're clear, this is the president of the united states using the murder of seventeen children to deflect attention away mueller's indictment of 13 russians who were actively interfering with the election. when paul ryan et al say 'don't politicize this tragedy', they usually mean 'don't bring up gun control' not 'don't undermine the rule of law' ... ” Why is nobody talking about the fact that the Florida shooting was an anti-Semitic hate crime except for Jews? The school was more than 40% Jewish. The shooter was a part of a white supremacist organization, actively and openly hated Jews more than anyone else, would beat up Jewish kids, etc. The head of the white supremacist organization made a public statement that the organization had nothing to do with the shooting but if he had to guess why Cruz did it, it was because the school was predominantly Jewish. “We’re not a big fan of Jews,“ Republic of Florida Militia leader Jordan Jerub stated in an interview with The Daily Beast. “I think there were a lot of Jews at the school that might have been messing with him.”

It seems like only Jewish news sources are reporting on this and the comments on the articles by non-Jews are sickening. People are saying that “Jews want to be oppressed so badly. He shot up the school because they expelled him, not because he hated Jews.” People are saying we’re “appropriating struggles of people of color” by claiming that he killed Jewish kids because he’s a white supremacist. I’m sorry, why can’t we acknowledge that someone shot up a Jewish school because he was anti-Semitic without it taking away from the struggles of other minorities?

When Jews say we are oppressed, people often respond with “show me real hate crimes against Jews and then we’ll believe you when you say you’re discriminated against,” but then someone who talks about wanting Jews dead shoots up a school that’s mostly Jewish and people still refuse to acknowledge that it’s a real hate crime.

The Jewish community is not a large one. I know people who knew some of those kids, who went to Jewish summer camp with them, whose parents were family friends etc.  Fuck anti-Semites and fuck people who shoot children and fuck people who refuse to acknowledge that people are targeted, assaulted, and even killed for being Jewish on a regular basis. According to the FBI, 1.7% of Americans are Jewish, but last year 54.2% of religiously motivated hate crimes were against Jews and 11.5% of overall hate crimes were against Jews.

If your intersectionality doesn’t include Jews, you’re doing social justice wrong.”
