Why Fenris could Never Cameo in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
In the run up to Dragon age: The Veilguard, I was almost certain that Fenris would be our main legacy character from previous games. Not only has he been central in the comics released between DAI and DATV, he is an escaped Tevinter slave who's plot revolved around magisters, magic and the structural prejudices surrounding elves in Thedas. Not only that, but he's canonically in Tevinter killing slavers currently so he's geographically in the right place for us to meet him.
About halfway through the game though, it was clear to me: Fenris could never cameo in The Veilguard. Because he'd break it.
Weisshaupt mission was insane I still think about it ghghghhg
how could I resist mr. dark, complex and intriguing
here's a funny bit of official concept art that shows spite pouring hot coffee on a sleeping lucanis.
Morrigan in the outfit from the Veilguard artbook I fell in love with this design
Rook trying to learn about the companions' backstories and personalities like -
The Invitation
Murmurs of an exiled Crow crop up in taverns around Thedas, focusing either on their unrivaled romantic prowess, or the ease with which they dispatch anyone brave enough to claim their contract.
Zevran is out there living it up sexy style, aging like the finest Antivan wine!!!! YOU DESERVE IT KING!! i miss him tho 😔 at least I can have my Rook wear this outfit + Arainai's Talon in homage to him.
its the year 2024 and fluffyninjallama actually uploaded a new video
HOLY SHIT
One of my biggest gripes with Veilguard is absolutely no acknowledgement of Zevran, the Crow lore established in his backstory, and what a pain in the ass he's been to the crows over the years so I've decided the reason the Crows are so different from how they're described in Origins is because Zevran terrorized the Crows so much they completely changed their modus operandi to be less shit and are so scared of the specter of Zevran Arainai that they dare not speak his name in fear of summoning him to wreck holy hell upon them.
I love how the game tries to convince you that the First Warden is so unreasonable and annoying and a pisser when Rook talks to everyone like a flat earther. Like going up to your county sheriff and saying "hold all your calls. We need to focus on the real problem: Zeus and Aphrodite from Greek Mythology are in the White House and they have the nuclear missile codes" it's a wonder he didn't just kill them on the spot
im really normal about her, im serious 🙋
