I need feminism because when a guy has an opinion about something, he's insightful and opinionated, but when I do I'm a bitch.
So Jay Pharaoh, one of the main cast members on Saturday Night Live, came to my school a few weeks ago to do stand-up. And during his show, he told a lot of horrible, offensive jokes. He made jokes about school shootings, saying kids who get bullied either end up school shooters or comedians, racist jokes, fatphobia in both genders, ableism, sexism, domestic and child abuse, HIV, ISIS, and implied rape jokes. People here were trying to defend him saying that our school is too "politically correct." I'm like, no, I'm allowed to be uncomfortable and offended, as so many people were. If you know these things are terrible and you shouldn't say it, then why are you? You don't have to be intentionally offensive to be funny. I am sad to say I liked Jay Pharaoh. But now, my respect for him is gone.
