when oitnb season 3 rolls around, can we all keep in mind alex is an emotionally abusive, lying, dangerous, unrepentant criminal who literally threatened to rape a girl at one point and all around a very shitty person and not worship her as the perfect sexy girlfriend? poussey washington is the perfect girlfriend. redirect all alex love to poussey
I could literally go through a list of characters who are better at relationships than Alex and deserve more love:
- Poussey, obviously, who genuinely cares about Taystee as both a friend and in a romantic manner, and would never want to hurt her.
- Sophia, who cared so much about her wife, Crystal and son, Michael both before and after her transition. and even when Crystal wanted to see another man because of how lonely she’s been, Sophia gave her blessing so she could be happy, and didn’t force her to stay in a relationship she was unhappy in.
- Nicky isn’t perfect - she’s a bit of a player. But she cares about people in general. She doesn’t like to show feelings much, but she makes others feel loved nonetheless.
- Daya and Bennett’s relationship is obviously strained because of the nature of it, but they don’t abuse each other. They love and care about each other, and they want to have their baby together.
- Maria has a loving relationship with her boyfriend outside of prison, who takes care of their baby. You can see they love each other and their daughter. They make the effort, and they succeed because of it.

Because he used Piper’s prison time to HIS own advantage and turned HER story into HIS story just to reap the fame from her suffering. He saw her incarceration as an opportunity to get his career lifted off but for all the wrong reasons. And then he proceeded to lie to her about Alex as the one who named her to get her in there. And then he goes and fucks her married best friend with a newborn child, and leaves her for said “best friend.” Right when she was all ready to marry him right then and there if he asked her to. He used her and he was kind of her only real connection to the outside world and he treated her like garbage.
That’s why everyone fucking HATES LARRY THAT PIECE OF SHIT.
