[ID: six screenshots of text.] 1/6: It will not let you feel the warmth and joy that this love may claim to gift. (lower) It is only a moldy treasure to be clung to. Something to fear the loss of as you hold it so tight that it withers and warps.

/6: Shadows crawled across the living room’s length /I held onto you with a desperate strength /With everything, with everything in me

/6: shrubbery, the black and green of the pines. The columns cast black bars of shadow on the gray stone wall behind them. The shutters are all fastened back, the windows open. On the ground floor, the upper part of the windows, raised from the bottom, reflect the sun in a smoldering stare, as of brooding revengeful eyes.

/6: I am not going to lose you /We are going to stay married /In this house like a Louisiana graveyard /Where nothing stays buried

/6: Or are the walls thicker, the doors heavier when they close? Were the curtains always stained that dull maroon? Or has the dust of the horrific world they keep at bay dyed them so.

/6: O yes, you loved me more. We entered our new house like a virus entering its host. You following me, me following you. However you like. The windows were high and the walls were thick and sturdy. It was hot as blazes. The guts of summer. Always down in the sugar-deep barrel-bottom belly of summer itself. [end ID]
