I love how when you call an actual misogynist out for making awful generalizations about women their first response is “oh, so generalizations about men are fine?” Despite the fact that I never said that, thanks to modern feminism softening the word misogyny to the point where it has no meaning anymore, people can actually get away with being blatantly misogynistic because they can just accuse you of being a feminist. Thanks a lot modern feminism, not only have you created more misandry, but you’ve created a hell of a lot more misogyny that can’t even be called out anymore. Great job!
This is why careful activism is so important. A cause’s image matters because, when that image is bad, even just advocating for it at all can be quickly dismissed.
