Have you ever heard of corrective rape? It happens to aces too.
Also, I was (and still kinda am) sex-repulsed and I id as ace. When an ex friend of mine found out, that I was sex-repulsed she tried to "correct" me by trying to force me into situations that I was not comfortable in, as well as violated my privacy giving away my contact information and social media to people who still stalk and sexually harass me to this day. So no offense, but you don't know what you're talking about here. I've had to deal with WAY more than just "mild annoyance" throughout my time in this community.
Also, this is a good time to State one of my pet peeves that I seem to run into a lot on Tumblr. That is, idiots saying that the only way for something to count as "phobia" it has to be institutional, which is about the stupidest thing I've ever heard. "Phobia" is an individual problem, and while institutional "phobia" did exist at one point in places like the US, UK or Canada, it does not anymore. A person cannot be denied a job or a house based on their gender or sexuality. If this has happened to you for your LGBT identity, you can probably win a lawsuit. Just like I might if I go through with transition and get denied housing, or if I did for my disability. If that doesn't work out, you can start an entire social media shitstorm and run a place out of business. Either way, people don't get away with these things the way they used to.... but I digress somewhat.
My point is that by acting as though something can only be considered "phobia" if it is institutionalized, you leave a lot of people's experiences with bigotry completely out of the equation. It is a very ignorant thing to do.
