Great. Another awful format update.
Pretty sure now is the worst time for Tumblr to try and look more like Twitter
The new Tumblr updates got something right for one day.
Being able to click a notification and seeing somebody’s reblog of your post to check for tags without having to scroll through seven pages of their blog was really, really nice.
Why would they get rid of this??
ps why/how on earth do people reblog stuff 60 times in just two hours
This update gets rid of page numbers. So now when I reload a page, it takes me back to the beginning. And it’s looking as though posting something while looking at an older page doesn’t always work. Great job, guys.
...And now I find that the new dashboard constantly hides random posts, which is objectively worse. I might miss something important, geez
Recently realized that a lot of my artwork I’ve shared recently actually still have deviantArt links embedded in them. I was totally unaware they were in there, which might explain why most of them haven’t been getting many notes. I’m definitely going to be removing them- and you’ll be seeing reblogs coming soon to help fix this whole thing.
I still don’t understand why Tumblr censors external links in the first place...
Just a reminder that your favorite love-to-hate social media isn’t any different than any other way of communicating with people. It’s the people that USE it that make the content you don’t like.
If somebody writes something terrible on a piece of paper, don’t blame the paper for what’s written on it.
