One thing about our particular set of interests is that I’m pretty sure no one else has noticed that there’s both a Mellotron rhythm and a quote from a Ventures tune in a Pokémon song.
If anybody out there has any idea where the bit of Hawaiian music at 0:57 comes from, I’d love to know...!
Am I the only one who got the same moral lesson from the 4Kids dub of the first Pokémon movie that people keep saying is “only” in the Japanese version? Even as a kid?
Also, the whole “violence is bad” thing is kinda, y’know, elsewhere in the franchise...? Not just in this one solitary movie. C’mon guys.
I imagine only huge Pokémaniacs will understand the significance of this image.
