Aesthetic: ‘90s cartoons attempting to recreate pixel graphics
The snobbier of the Looney Tunes fans who absolutely hate Tiny Toon Adventures need to realize that the Tiny Toons weren’t meant to be a watered-down, babyfied carbon copy of the original Looney Tunes.
Maybe I’m biased since I grew up with the show, but the most important thing to remember is that the characters in Tiny Toons weren’t just smaller, younger versions of Bugs and everyone else. They were a different generation altogether, with personalities distinct from the Looney Tunes characters they drew inspiration from- and therefore they have a very different yet still old school style of humor.
Maybe it’s not your cup of tea- heck, some of the pop culture references were dated and obscure by 1998- but don’t call it a “pale imitation of Looney Tunes”. A tribute or homage perhaps, but certainly not a copycat.
