8-bit version of “Deck the Halls” extracted from a Nintendo/Pepsi commercial
You know, the one time I got close to cosplaying was when I went to Video Games Live and dressed as Error.
I don’t think anybody knew who I was (even after I told them).
You know, aside from the completely ridiculous CD-ROM compatibility (I mean, they’d have to somehow have a disc drive plus Windows installed on it, on top of everything else) and the bafflingly pointless TV tuner and cigarette-lighter adapter, you could probably actually make this thing nowadays.
It would still look extremely silly, but y’know, stick a RetroPie or whatever in there and there ya go.
My own spin on the "chillwave" and "downtempo" genres, which I made in less than a day, deconstructing its elements into something else. (It actually took longer to make the video.) So throw together a bunch of major-seventh chords mostly in Lydian mode, an accidental polychord, and away you go.
Did you ever think you’d ever hear a cover version of old cartoon background music, much less an 8-bit version in an officially licensed anything?
illusions will be shattered
