Jake is the main character in a novel I’m working on, called Mal. He’s a reformed Big Bad Wolf retired from showbiz who’s now a private eye. Basically, the novel is my homage to film noir and detective stories, as well as the Roger Rabbit books. Currently the novel is on hiatus because I want to read a lot more Raymond Chandler and Dashiell Hammett.
Dizzy Weasel, an appreciation post
Dizzy was by far the best Toon Patrol OC out there back in the day. She had the best art, and the most developed personality. There was even a fanfiction in the works, although it never got past two chapters. I was actually pretty good friends with her creator back then, but for some reason she started ignoring me and stopped responding to my deviantArt uploads and Tumblr posts, despite me continuing to like hers, and then her entire personality changed and she stopped drawing stuff that I liked.
It’s a crying shame, because more than any other weasel fan character out there, I feel that Dizzy has a lot of wasted potential. (I also included some artwork drawn by others.)
Here’s some fanart I drew of her. They could be better, but it’s for completeness’ sake.

This is some old Toon Patrol fanart, an OC that was meant to be Wheezy’s girlfriend, I believe. They would be utterly lost if it weren’t for the fact that I printed them out for reference years ago. I can’t find them online anywhere now. I had intended to draw her at some point, but that never happened, and the artist has long since abandoned drawing weasels.
It’s too bad, because she was one of the more intelligent, thoughtful fans out there, but I think when self-centered revisionists infiltrated the fandom all those years ago, she was turned off from it.

A Disney weasel fan character by an old internet friend of ours. I dunno what happened to her.
Fearless the weasel, leader of a criminal weasel threesome.
