So I never hit the Star ending when I marathoned the other endings, and I just did finally and vague reaction under the cut:
The slightly more cognizant writeup:
List of Ending Reactions, in vague order:
State of the V, Endgame Edition:
And history repeats itself.
Silverhand: “Here lies Johnny Silverhand:”
V: “The guy who saved my life.”
Silverhand: ._.
Hanako: “Do not make me wait.”
V: *flipping through her amassed catalogue of side jobs*
For the record, I’ve been stupidly amused all this time by V chatting up Takemura on a given name(?) basis and him just... taking it completely in stride.
“Why do you think you work alone?”
V: “...” ._.
...that fight with Oda took all of my pistol and rifle ammunition, as well as my grenades and almost all of my healing supplies.
and i still only barely skated by.
owfuck.
Takemura: *takes his damn time getting back to us about the parade*
“Hmmm, work seems sparse in the meanwhi-...”
Complete Strangers: *Want me to investigate Mayor’s Murder*
Panam: *Calls in a panic because Saul’s been kidnapped.*
Takemura: *calls in finally*
...all at once...
V: “...”
V: “ONE at a TIME.”
[and then we got trapped in a Canadian Californian Shack, because Nomads first....]
Plot Twist: There were two beds.
V: “...” ._.
Oh and I have a new OT3 now!
I keep thinking that V’s thing with Silverhand is kinda what it’s like being a writer with fictional characters living in your head.
V so far:
Dancer, dreamer, thief, vigilante. V may stand for Very Sneaky. High stats are cool and reflexes, low stats are intelligence and tech, athletics is middle of the road, but overall she is leaning into jack of all trades, master of none.
Strategies are stealth first, but she falls back on pistols, knives, and grenades. She doesn’t often kill if she can help it, but if she can’t she doesn’t lose sleep over it.
tfw you’re only a quarter of a way through a game’s main storyline at the most and yet a stampede of rampaging plotbunnies.
