Twin Therapists

We have Ph.D.’s in Counselor Education and Supervision. We are both Assistant Professors of Counseling and in private practice. We do clinical work, teach at the graduate level, supervise graduate level clinicians, conduct research on the therapeutic relationship, and have edited, contributed to, and co-authored several counseling books (some you use in your classes!). We have created this blog for the purposes of self-care. The only way to cope with studying the human condition for us is humor. Here are reflections of our thoughts post therapy sessions, classes, faculty meetings, supervision, conferences, etc. Check out our archives for our experience as graduate and doctoral students. Disclaimer: Our answers are 100% our opinions and shouldn’t be taken as fact for every mental health clinician. We tend to answer more questions when they are not asked anonymously because we do not want to post every single answer to our page.
