Contrary to fanfic, it’s actually somewhat rare in the Twilight series for a vampire to be the creator of his/her mate. There are only six such couples specified: Amun & Kebi, Aro & Sulpicia, Benjamin & Tia, Carlisle & Esme, Makenna & Charles, and Edward & Bella. Rosalie & Emmett get an honorable mention though, since she was the one who saved him and picked him out, even if she didn’t do the actual transformation herself.
