Our vice president will be a man who believes we should defund HIV research and use the money to fund gay conversion therapy. Let that sink in.

not to mention this:

and the fact that pence literally signed for a bill to put lgbt+ in jail for applying for a marriage license

All people are transphobic. Trans people generally have the experiences to unlearn it, though. Cis people are all all transphobic. Even “normal” things are considered transphobic

  • insulting trans people based on their appearance
  • stating that you’re not attracted to trans people
  • doubting a trans person’s gender
  • assigning genders to things that dont understand the concept of gender
  • assuming people’s genders based on appearances
  • “but you’re biologically [x gender] right?”

Let’s face it. Akane is at least a little bi.  Or pan. That is a quote of hers from one of the movies.

I found this manga when I was a teenager, and I really liked Ranma as a boy and as a girl.  I liked that Akane liked Ranma no matter what.

Before that, I had thought people had to be either straight or gay, and was very confused and upset about myself having crushes on boys and girls.  Subtly, this manga helped to normalize the idea that somebody could like both, and I grew more comfortable with the concept of bisexuality…and the fact that I was bisexual.

Thank you Ranma and Akane! <3

(Follow if you like it!  I’m trying to draw at least twice a week. Thanks!)

I see a lot of really nice posts about feminine trans boys, and I want to make one for tomboyish trans girls:

masculine trans girls are as beautiful as they want to be. beauty isn’t everyone’s goal. if cis girls are allowed to wear baseball caps and jerseys and jeans, so are trans girls. short or buzzed hair doesn’t stop you from being a girl. it’s cool to be a cis tomboy, which means it’s cool to be a trans tomboy. anyone who says you’ve gotta be hyper-feminine to affirm your gender? they can go get fucked. you don’t have to conform to gender roles. you don’t have to be beautiful. you are you, and you are a wonderful woman.

“stop forcing your sexuality onto characters!!!!!!!”

……. u do know that immediately assuming that a character is straight is also forcing your sexuality onto a character……..

i noticed that alot of LBGT kids feel like they have to tell their friends and family that theyre LBGT. even if theyll be rejected

and i want to remind u all that nobody is entitled to knowing your romantic, sexual or gender orientations. nobody. you have no moral obligation to share that information if youre not comfortable with doing so

youre not “lying” by not telling people or “hiding”. cause its honestly no ones business but your own

you come out on your own terms when you feel safe and comfortable doing so!! or you can come out to a few trusted people if you want before telling a larger group

dont feel like you owe that information to anyone ok??

Listen up gaybies, because this is important:

It’s that time of year again and you’re going to be seeing a lot of post going around warning young straight girls away from much older men and boys that take a sudden interest as if this is a problem unique to cishet people.

You may think you’re more mature than your straight or cis peers. Maybe you are. And you may also feel like there are no romantic opportunities for you with people your own age. This might also, unfortunately, be true at the moment.

But I’m telling you right now you have just as much reason to be wary of much older people taking an interest in you and I would be very, very careful with them.

I know it gets better feels like bullshit. I know no one wants to wait around for a perfect fit when they feel alone or misunderstood. But you deserve a supportive and healthy experience as much as your non-lgbtqia+ counterparts.

Please take care of yourself.

Straight People: (spend literally centuries erasing the histories of queer people who made themselves known and pressuring the rest with threat of violence to the point where they’re forced to keep it a secret their whole lives)

People who say bi erasure doesn’t happen need to realize Freddie Mercury is known as the most famous homosexual man when he identified himself as bisexual. If that’s not bi erasure I don’t even know.

Anyway in light of all this stuff about Gillian Anderson and Kate McKinnon, I just want to say that I 100% do NOT support these actresses and will not unless they do the right thing and publicly apologise and acknowledge that what they have done is incredibly harmful (which at this point is very unlikely).

While I am still a fan of The X Files as a show, I will no longer be glorifying or blogging about Gillian. What I have learnt about her deeply upsets me and and I refuse to put my interests in front of the mental health of trans people.

It is not my place as a cis woman to speak over trans people. If they say that Gillian and Kate are transphobic, then they are. That’s it. End of story. I don’t get to argue and neither does any other cis person.

Furthermore, I encourage any cis women following me who still support these actresses to reconsider.

I mean, I know it’s really hard when people I know openly support homophobes, so imagining how trans people feel when communities they once felt a part of blatantly ignore these issues… Especially when Gillian and Kate are regarded as “icons” for the wlw community… I can’t imagine, actually.

Like no one is telling you that you can’t watch The X Files or Ghostbusters or whatever, just please stop ignoring the transphobia these women are actively perpetuating. Acknowledge it, call them out, talk about it, stop acting as though they’re perfect and untouchable.
