1983 CIA Document Reveals Plan To Destroy Syria, Foreshadows Current Crisis

Prophetically foreshadowing the current crisis (and apparent action plan), leaked CIA documents from the reign of Bashar al-Assad's father in the 1980s show a Washington Deep State plan coalescing to "bring real muscle to bear against Syria," toppling its leader (in favor of one amenable to US demands) , severing ties with Russia (its primary arms dealer), and paving the way for an oil and gas pipeline of Washington's choosing.

At least 23 civilians, including eight children, have been killed in air raids on an ISIL-held village in northern Syria, according to a monitor.

The fighter jets that carried out the strikes were believed to belong to the US-led coalition fighting the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL/ISIS) armed group, the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Thursday.

Bitter in Aleppo Defeat, US and EU Seek to Further Demonize Russia

As Russian forces help liberate the Syrian city of Aleppo this week from a four-year terrorist siege, Washington and Europe step up threats of cyber war and economic aggression with sanctions. That’s no coincidence. It is the response of accomplices bitter in defeat.

...

Largely unreported by the Western media is the dominant mood of celebration and relief among civilians for having been liberated by the combined efforts of the Syrian army and its Russian, Iranian and Lebanese allies.

...

Where are the «moderate rebels» now that the veil of secrecy has finally been lifted from eastern Aleppo? Where are the so-called neutral rescuers belonging to the White Helmets, who only a few weeks ago Western media were championing for a Nobel peace prize? They are all piling on to the same buses with the jihadi terrorists to be evacuated to nearby Idlib city as part of a surrender deal. In other words, the West has been all along backing terrorists, and now their terrorist proxies are seen by the whole world as being routed from Aleppo after four years of holding the eastern side of the city hostage.

Former CIA Deputy Director Gives A Stunning Reason Why Obama Has Not Attacked ISIS' Oil Infrastructure

“We didn’t go after oil wells, actually hitting oil wells that ISIS controls, because we didn’t want to do environmental damage, and we didn’t want to destroy that infrastructure.”

- Michael Morell, Former Deputy Director of the CIA

In other words, one can blame such recent outbreaks of deadly terrorist activity as the Paris bombings and the explosion of the Russian passenger airplane over Egypt's Sinai Peninsula on Obama's hard line stance to not pollute the atmosphere with the toxic aftermath of destroyed ISIS infrastructure.

Brilliant.

UK Announces 178 Billion Military Spending While Dragging Britain into Bloody War

United Kingdom — David Cameron has announced government plans to spend £178 billion on military equipment over the next decade “to defeat the terrorist threat”—while simultaneously attempting to get MPs to agree to a potentially disastrous bombing campaign in Syria. You couldn’t make this up.

After the new priorities for military spending were revealed, Britain’s largest defence companies leapt to the top of the FTSE 100 Index. Rolls-Royce and BAE Systems topped the blue-chip index as the plans to boost the Armed Forces were revealed in The Telegraph.

Cashing in on the recent outpourings of revulsion at the Paris attacks that brought self-appointed caliphate, Daesh (ISIS) to Europe’s doorstep—British politicians have been mercilessly banging the drums of war for intervention in Syria.

The previous call for U.K. military response in Syria, rejected in August 2013, was against President Bashar al-Assad’s government. Now the target is Daesh.

Same war, different excuse.

At least 250,000 people have been killed in the ongoing Syrian conflict. Over half of the country’s pre-war population are either internally displaced or have fled abroad. The U.S. has been bombing Syria for over a year. Since September, France has been alongside them. Other members of last year’s coalition, including Canada, Australia, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, have effectively withdrawn from the bombing.

Since Russia’s involvement at the end of September, monitoring groups have reported that their airstrikes have killed over 400 civilians.

Polls conducted in the U.K.’s predominantly right-wing media show the softening up of the British population for war has worked and public support for U.K. airstrikes is overwhelming. In contrast, an independent poll by Survation revealed that 56% of the British public believe that military strikes against Syria by governments around the world have made the U.K. less safe.

The Guardian reported that political opinion has shifted in favour of British involvement and that unanimous support for a U.N security council resolution calling on member states to take all necessary means to eradicate ISIS has changed the mood among MPs.

Campaign group Stop the War has launched a campaign to encourage supporters to lobby their MPs to demand they stand against further military escalation in Syria and prevent another disastrous intervention by using a simple e-tool.

We must build the same level of opposition now, as Cameron tries yet again to get MPs to agree to a U.K. bombing campaign in Syria, the result of which will only be more chaos, more refugees and increased bitterness against the west,” the group said.

After Decades of Manufactured Terror, Putin Points to Naked Empire With ISIS Bombings

When Putin carries out airstrikes in Syria, he sees ISIS. When the U.S. disputes the same targets, it sees Syrian rebel groups and the Free Syrian Army. The mercenaries, armed with American weapons and Pentagon-source payrolls, aren't terrorists, they are “relatively moderate rebel factions like al-Qaeda." Such is the delusion that goes on and on under the spell of the War on Terror. But the re-branding of ISIS to create a new enemy in the wake of bin Laden's death has been too much for much of anyone to take. But apparently it took Putin to call out the Naked Empire in our misguided and badly executed quest for a New American Century. The Obama Administration is working overtime to officially state that white is black, as it scrambles to portray Russia's decisive action to defend Assad in Syria as an attack on NATO's pet proxy – a sovereign Mickey Mouse death squadron. Its cast members play double roles in rebel force costumes and an encore in Jihadi John jumpsuits, strike fear in all directions – and are not to be questioned as fake. But is anyone buying it? After all, it has been many long years of painful and transparent lies. Do we really have to put up with the non-sense as if we don't know we're being tricked and screwed with? Does it really take Putin to stand up to the playground bully?     Overheard at the Pentagon: "Right now, we are Putin's prison bitch."     — Nancy Youssef, نانسى (@nancyayoussef) September 30, 2015 The U.S. has left itself open to blackmail on its naked strategy of creating its own terrorist enemy – and pretending not to be a shadow boxer. Now, Putin has called the West's bluff like a skilled poker player. In tow, Assad even claimed that Al-Nusra and ISIS operate with such a force in the region under Western cover, because Western states have always believed that terrorism is a card they can pull from their pocket and use from time to time.. After years of Obama acting impotent to stop ISIS, while daily fueling fears on broadcast media about ISIS, Russia has invited the U.S. to join in taking out the very vehicle it created to sow chaos in the region. Talk about watching your investment go up in flames. The only question is: will Putin's taunting deflate the U.S. war machine in tandem with the dollar, or will the Pentagon double down for a round of WWIII saber-rattling and try to bite off more entanglement in the region?

Congress Votes for More War in the Middle East by Ron Paul Last week, the House and Senate voted to rubber stamp President Obama’s war plans for the Middle East. Both bodies, on a bipartisan basis, authorized the US to begin openly training and arming the rebels who have been fighting for three years to overthrow the Assad government in Syria. Although the Syrian government has also been fighting ISIS and related extremist groups for three years, the US refuses to speak to the Syrians and has warned Assad not to interfere with the coming US attack on sovereign Syrian territory President Obama promised that airstrikes alone would “degrade and destroy” ISIS, telling the US military in a speech last week that: “The American forces that have been deployed to Iraq do not and will not have a combat mission… I will not commit you and the rest of our armed forces to fighting another ground war in Iraq.” But of course any US troops sent into a war zone are “combat” troops. And more are on their way. While the president was swearing that there would be no boots on the ground, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Martin Dempsey, was in open disagreement. General Dempsey told the Senate Armed Services Committee last week that US forces would need to embed with Iraqi or Kurdish troops in combat situations under certain circumstances. The limited mission the president promised just weeks ago has already greatly escalated, and now threatens to become another major regional war. In reality, however, this is just a continuation of the 24 year US war on Iraq that President George Bush began in 1990 and candidate Obama promised to end as President. Under last week’s authorization bill, the president would have authority to train 5,000 fighters in Saudi Arabia for insertion into the civil war in Syria. This is in effect a re-arrangement of the deck chairs. To this point the training was carried out by the CIA in Jordan and Turkey. Now, the program will be moved to the Pentagon and to Saudi Arabia. The CIA training of the rebels thus far has resulted in a direct pipeline of weapons from “vetted moderates” to the al-Qaeda affiliated al-Nusra Front and to the very ISIS that the administration claims to be fighting. In July, a full brigade of 1,000 fighters from a US-backed rebel group joined ISIS! Of course they took their US-provided weapons and training with them, some of which will certainly be used against the rapidly increasing US military personnel in the region. That Saudi Arabia is considered a suitable place to train Syria’s future leaders must be some kind of sick joke. While ISIS was beheading two American journalists – as horrific as that is – the repressive Saudi theocracy was beheading dozens of its own citizens, often for relatively minor or religious crimes. If we want to stop radical terrorists from operating in Syria and Iraq, how about telling our ally Saudi Arabia to stop funding and training them? For that matter, how about the US government stops arming and training the various rebel groups in Syria and finally ends its 24 year US war on Iraq. There are 200 million people bordering the countries where ISIS is currently operating. They are the ones facing the threat of ISIS activity and expansion. Let them fight their own war, rather than turning the US military into the mercenary army of wealthy Gulf states. Remember, they come over here because we are over there. So let’s not be over there any longer.
