Single course of antibiotics can mess up the gut microbiome for a year
In two randomized, placebo-controlled trials of healthy people, a single course of oral antibiotics altered the composition and diversity of the gut microbiome for months, and in some cases up to a year. Such shifts could clear the way for pathogens, including the deadly Clostridium difficile. Those community changes can also alter microbiome activities, including interacting with the immune system and helping with digestion. Overall, the data, published Tuesday in the journal mBio, suggests that antibiotics may have more side effects than previously thought—at least in the gut.

Ladies: Study Says You Might Be Putting Glyphosate-Tainted Tampons in Your Vagina
I admit I chose this title on purpose to catch your attention, but now that I have it, have you ever considered that the majority of cotton (in the U.S. anyway) is genetically modified, and as such, it's might be tainted with cancer-causing, endocrine-disrupting, infertility-promoting glyphosate? Well, a new study at the University of La Plata found just that: 85% of cotton products like gauze, cotton balls, swabs, pads, wipes, etc. tested positive for glyphosate. Another 62% tested positive for its environmental metabolite AMPA, which has been found to potentially be 1,000 times more toxic in the body. Gauze samples tested positive 100% of the time. Let's get down to brass tacks, as they say. While all of these things are used on places like cuts, or to clean your ears or even wipe your baby's bottom, when it comes to feminine "protection" products, they are placed in a highly sensitive mucous membrane area near a woman's cervix and her reproductive organs for hours at a time. How often is a potentially harmful chemical seeping into your body this way, ladies? And we wonder why infertility is on the rise in this country. Unless these products explicitly state they are made from organic cotton, it's a safe bet to assume they are genetically modified. Because over 90% of the cotton here GMO, if this study is any indication, its very likely tainted with glyphosate! It's such a common sense connection, and yet, until I read about this study, I will admit to you I hadn't really considered it. The study also found that 90% of the residents tested positive for glyphosate in their urine even though none of the people tested had direct contact with Roundup products. Of course, you'll probably never hear about this in the media here, in the country where corporations and lobbyists run everything and where Monsanto, whose #1 best-selling product Roundup with the key ingredient glyphosate, has its world headquarters stationed.

What the CDC Won't Tell You About SV40, Polio Vaccines and Cancer

(Truthstream Media.com) The public was kept in the dark for decades about tens of millions of polio vaccines laced with SV40, and its implications for the widespread epidemic of cancer. The relevant facts were known by the scientific community back in 1960, but it wasn't until lawsuits and investigative reports in the 1990s and a Congressional hearing in 2003 that the public was informed about the scale of the contamination and its possible link to many of the deadly forms of cancer spreading today. Yet little has been acknowledged in public discussion since that point. In the aftermath of these admissions and inquiries, the CDC launched a fact sheet page on its website addressing the links between "Cancer, Simian Virus 40 (SV40), and Polio Vaccine" which noted the discovery of SV40, its presence in an estimated 10-30 million doses of polio vaccine and disputed scientific claims concerning its presence in cancer tumors and its possible role in causation. Worse, scientists in the late 1990s revealed a secondary form of SV40 that was present in post-1963 versions of the polio vaccines -- after the formulations with SV40 were replaced -- which were not detectable in the testing methods used up until that point -- meaning that the impact of this virus on the public could be even more widespread yet largely unknown. But as of June 2013, that CDC page has been apparently scrubbed and is no longer available, except through a cached version shown in this video. Do they expect the public to forget? Regardless, nothing has been done to hold any of the pharmaceutical giants responsible for this monstrosity liable for their actions, and the companies continue to produce vaccines administered to Americans every single day. Whatever master agenda could be at work here, it is amazing that the American and global public continue to trust their bodies to the same science that 'accidentally' contaminated tens of millions of people vaccinated for polio with a monkey virus found time and again in cancerous tumors. The presence of SV40 -- which Merck vaccine scientist Maurice Hilleman joked in the video below caused tumors -- has not officially been recognized by the government as having caused all these cancers (again, the CDC has continued to affirm 'further research is needed'). As this strain of monkey virus has consistently been found present in many types of cancerous cells in people all over the world at this point, the significance of such a correlation cannot be denied. Why are the same industry and government players allowed to continue to play both God and doctor on your children? On your family, neighbors and fellow human beings? Why has no one been held accountable for these crimes of negligence, or worse?

Sewage sludge is "the wet solid cake produced after human, residential and industrial wastes are combined in wastewater treatment plants".
Industrial companies need viable places to dump their waste products, and just as the fertilizer industry has found a market for fluoride waste in drinking water, the waste water industry has created a fertilizer market using sewer sludge as a cheap crop input. Moreover, the "organic" and natural compost movement associated with healthy, homegrown crops has adopted this up-cycled humanure that the EPA and several lobbyists say is 'safe' for unrestricted use on veggies and more. The only problem is that the compost made by cities from what is flushed down the toilet may contain residual pharmaceutical drugs, antibiotics, sex hormones and other endocrine disruptors, radiated derivatives from cancer treatments, steroids and other excreted compounds that could enter the human body, crops or food chain/environment with total affects unknown.
