Creepy new DHS propaganda spotted in Chicago.
Obama’s Department of Homeland Security Purchases 2,700 Light-Armored Tanks to Go With Their 1.6 2 Billion Hollow-Point Bullet Stockpile… for domestic use.
(submitted by ouspensky)
The Department of Homeland Security (through the U.S. Army Forces Command) recently retrofitted 2,717 of these ‘Mine Resistant Protected’ vehicles for service on the streets of the United States.
Although I’ve seen and read several online blurbs about this vehicle of late, I decided to dig slightly deeper and discover more about the vehicle itself.
The new DHS sanctioned ‘Street Sweeper’ (my own slang due to the gun ports) is built by Navistar Defense (NavistarDefense.com), a division within the Navistar organization. Under the Navistar umbrella are several other companies including International Trucks, IC Bus (they make school buses), Monaco RV (recreational vehicles), WorkHorse (they make chassis), MaxxForce (diesel engines), and Navistar Financial (the money arm of the company).
DHS even released a video on their newly purchased MRAPs.
The MRAP featured in this video is was in Albuquerque, New Mexico for Law Enforcement Day which was held at a local area Target Store. This MRAP is stationed in El Paso, Texas at The Homeland Security Investigations Office. MRAP is a Mine Resistant Armor Protected Vehicle.
DHS engages 'Constitution free' zones around US border
According to the US Department of Homeland Security, anyone who is within a 100 mile radius of the US border is subject to the search and seizure of any and all electronic devices for no apparent reason. These zones known as "Constitution free" zones have many privacy advocates speaking out against the new policy and fear that this new procedure is a violation of civil liberties for American citizens. Kevin Gosztola, blogger for FireDogLake, sounds off on the latest from the DHS.
DHS Use Police Depts to Gather Intel on Citizens & Label Them Extremist Threats
According to the White House Blog website, the Obama administration is working to “counter online radicalization” by “violent extremist groups” such as “al-Qaeda and its affiliates and adherents, violent supremacist groups, and violent ‘sovereign citizens’.”
The White House claims that “these groups use the Internet to disseminate propaganda, identify and groom potential recruits, and supplement their real-world recruitment” with “resources to propagate messages of violence and division.” Through the exploitation of “popular media, music videos and online video games”, allegedly there are “countless opportunities “to draw targets into private exchanges” and provide “violent extremists with access to new audiences and instruments for radicalization.”
The US government stated they will combat these extremist groups by “raising awareness about the threat and providing communities with practical information and tools for staying safe online.” They are solidifying their relationships with private sector corporations involved in technology to implement “policies, technologies, and tools that can help counter violent extremism online.”
Massive Media Fumble: DHS 21.6 Million Rounds Purchase A Lie
Earlier this month, Infowars.com reported that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) “is set to purchase . . . 21.6 million rounds of ammunition.” The article went on to explain how significant such a purchase would be by quoting that “during the height of active battle operations in Iraq, US soldiers used 5.5 million rounds of ammunition a month.”
The writer concluded, through “extrapolating the figures” that “DHS has purchased enough bullets over the last 10 months to wage a full scale war for almost 30 years.”
The DHS solicitation quoted was posted on February 6th and stated that “DHS Federal Law Enforcement Training Center requires . . . 100, MX; LI 002, Commercial Leaded Training Ammo (CLTA) PISTOL CARTIDGE 9MM BALL 124 GRAIN P/N AE9AP OR EQUAL BRASS CASING. TOTAL ROUNDS for this line item 40,000 ROUNDS.”
In fact, James Smith of the Prepper Podcast Network (PPN) had reported on the same solicitation two days earlier; breaking down the details of the request for purchase. Smith explained that the DHS asked for:
• 165-grain jacketed hollow point .40 caliber(100,000) • 115-grain jacketed hollow point 9mm (100,000) • 124-grain ball round 9mm (40,000)
The actual amount mentioned in the solicitation from DHS, as Smith explains is only “240,000 rounds of ‘training’ ammunition.”
The difference between 21.6 million and 240 thousand is staggering and is explained in the inability of Infowars to understand abbreviations. When the DHS solicitation reads “MX” with reference to the bullet purchase, the letters stand for the word “thousand” not million.
DHS Are Militarizing Local Police to Create Federalized Law Enforcement Agencies
In 2011 the consolidation of police departments to regional agencies became commonplace as budget cuts and funding was blamed for the cause of this merging of local forces into one encompassing police enforcement apparatus.
Under the creation of the Unified Police Department (UPD) in Salt Lake City, Utah jurisdictions and municipalities previously controlled by the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office was reallocated to UPD. This became the new police department and eventually the standard for other police departments across the nation.
The UPD dissolved the Sheriff’s Office and installed a completely compromised police force that was essentially a hired security firm that could be manipulated by federal agencies or acclimated into a national police force in the future.
(U//FOUO) DHS-FBI Suspicious Activity Reporting Bulletin: Materials Acquisition/Storage
Terrorists overseas and in domestic attack plots have used various methods to acquire and store materials necessary to construct explosives. Najibullah Zazi, who pled guilty in 2010 to plotting to attack the New York subway system, made multiple, large-quantity purchases of chemical components needed to assemble the homemade explosive Triacetone Triperoxide (TATP)—6 bottles on one day and 12 bottles on a separate day—at beauty supply stores throughout the summer of 2009. Law enforcement and first responders should be aware that the possession, storage, or attempt to acquire unusual quantities of laboratory equipment, personal protective equipment, chemicals, and flammable accelerants—although legal to purchase and own—could provide indicators of preoperational attack planning.

While the debate rages regarding whether or not the U.S. government uses weather manipulation technology to steer storms like Hurricane Sandy, further evidence shows the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has been engaged in research to do just that for years.
In 2008, an article in New Scientist discussed a new DHS project that funded research into guiding and directing the intensity of hurricanes.
Citing Hurricane Katrina as the basis for the project, the Hurricane Aerosol and Microphysics Program (HAMP) worked with Project Stormfury veteran Joe Golden and a panel of other experts “to test the effects of aerosols on the structure and intensity of hurricanes.” HAMP was funded under contract HSHQDC-09-C-00064 at a taxpayer price tag of $64.1 million.
In 2009, Richard Spinrad, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) assistant administrator for the Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR), sent then DHS Program Manager for Advanced Research Projects Agency (HSARPA) William Laska an official memorandum regarding OAR’s review of a “Statement for Work” for HAMP.
“While OAR recognizes that weather modification, in general, is occurring through the funding of private enterprises, NOAA does not support research that entails efforts to modify hurricanes,” Spinrad wrote.
He then went on to list all the reasons Project Stormfury was discontinued, including the inability to separate the difference in hurricane behavior when human intervention is present versus nature’s inherent unpredictability overall. Spinrad also noted that any collaboration with DHS must occur within NOAA’s mission (which Spinrad and NOAA obviously felt HAMP did not do).

(CNSNews.com) –In a blog on the Department of Homeland Security website, Secretary Janet Napolitano said her department is working to develop the next generation of leaders in cybersecurity beginning in kindergarten.
In a blog titled, “Inspiring the Next Generation of Cyber Professionals,” Napolitano said, “In addition, we are extending the scope of cyber education beyond the federal workplace through the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education, involving students from kindergarten through post-graduate school.”
Fischer: DHS Is Hoarding Ammunition To Use Against Us!
Bryan Fischer says the Department of Homeland Security is buying up all the ammunition that is being manufactured so that they can use it against us!
DHS Plans to Release Bacteria in Boston Subway System
Despite the fact that the U.S. government has a history of dangerous biological testing against the American people, the Department of Homeland Security claims that a bacteria it plans to release in the Boston subway later this year to test biological sensors is harmless to healthy people. "Federal officials say they test the subway sensors by releasing dead bacteria called B-Subtilis. They say it is used in food supplements, has been rigorously tested and has no adverse health effects for low exposure in healthy people," reports CBS News. What effect the tests will have on unhealthy people or those exposed to higher doses is unknown. The tests will be held in Cambridge and Somerville during off peak hours this summer, but not before a hearing on May 16, from 5:30-7:30pm at the Cambridge YMCA in Central Square, during which the public will voice concerns and ask questions about the experiment. The bacteria will be released as a means of testing biological sensors that guard against the threat of a bio-terror attack. The DHS has released a 28-page summary entitled "Environmental Assessment for Bacillus subtilis Particles to Challenge Bio-Detection Sensors in Subway Stations."
